I hadn't even heard of the Spiderkith before, but you do a fantastic job recreating them as the perfect servant of Mephala... super manipulative, deceptive,  ever diligent, and patient. In addition to the character herself, the build is just a cool read. I enjoyed learning about her through her journals; that's a sweet vehicle for getting across character information and getting into the character's head.

The perk selection is perfect for this character. I would never have figured that Restoration would play a role for a servant of Mephala, but your explanation makes total sense: as a master manipulator, one of your most valuable tools is trust, and people trust people who heal... that's brilliant (and just the slightest bit twisted ;D). Also, having her masquerade as a wandering priestess is cool, and the half-truthfulness of that facade is  a perfect reflection of who she serves. You must have put some serious time into getting into her head  xD

Again, really cool take on the master manipulator!

BTW--that ceremony for feeding the blade is cold, and it might have been too cold for me, but you mentioned using it on Sven, and I was like, "Justification accepted!" xD

Great to see this out of the Workshop.

I love how the story is told from your perspective. Something I hope to borrow in the future. Great Job.

This build is by far and away the most unique Mephala build I have seen. I have watched it take shape in the Workshop, each new addition making me smile with how subtly you present it. Many other builders would make a bigger deal about certain aspects of this build, but everything here is understated, just quietly existing to inspire rather than for glory.

From the use of the Serpent Stone which is both thematic with its poisons and genuinely useful to this glass canon character to the Agent of Dibella and the wandering priestess masquerade, all aspects of the build are so well thought out and mesh so perfectly that it as hard to hold my pisss for so long. Your focus on manipulation over murder and almost leaving the Ebony Blade as an after thought have brought light to the murkier aspects of the Webspinner.

That you had this sublime idea and the courage to share it with all and allow us to watch it take shape, free of the possessive hoarding and pride so prevalent in building culture deserves the highest praise of all. It was a genuine joy watching your creativity fall into place.

Golds, well done my friend. This build, to me, is superlative.

Interesting build. Though why perk Light Armor, you seem to be wearing robes?

He does have some light armor pieces

That is correct. But the character also wears light armor boots and gauntlets, that plus the fact that the diadem of the savant counts as a light armor headpiece makes three pieces of light armor equiped. And boosting the small amount of armor rating that they give you, increases your chances of surviving should anything turns its attention from your follower to you.

You may also notice that I only perked agile defender. Which is not effected by how many pieces you are wearing. And then there's the note underneath the perk spread about using Helmless warrior if you are on pc and are interested in taking some more perks.

I'm not surprised you've never heard of the Spiderkith before. They only appear in I think two locations in ESO. I only found out about them when reading about Mephala, or was it when I was scrolling through the bestiary on uesp? Well it doesn't really matter. All I can say is that there isn't much lore on them at the moment.

Ah yes restoration, does it say something about me that my mind instantly made that jump?

Even back when I only had the barest idea for this build, so basically just this one word "manipulator", I wanted the equipment to make her appear trustworthy. So while sure a warrior can be a nice guy, you don't see a guy in full armor with a greatsword, siting in an inn and go "Oh he must be nice, lets go have a chat", if anything you're more likely to think that he's a bit of trouble and avoid him. So then there were robes, and with that two options mage or priesty-person. What with the general level of distrust in Skyrim for magic other then restoration, it was an easy choice.

I'm starting to think that just mentioning Sven in the same sentence as any horrific action will get people to excuse it

I'll be honest with you, I've been trying to write a response for the last 30 minutes. The reason being, it's hard to respond to this level of praise

If you were to look at the other builds based around Mephala, here on the site, then I wouldn't be surprised if you came to the conclusion that she was just about murder. Sure her sole artifact in Skyrim requires murder to power it up. But that's really just a small part of the Ebony Blade and Mephala herself. She's so much more then that, and I wanted to show that here.

The reason I build is because I enjoy creating. Likes are nice (and at times I've wished some of my builds had more of them) but they're not my reason for building. Which is in part why I love the workshop, it lets me create and talk to people about that process.
