Heh thanks Shin! To be honest, I've been waiting even longer to release this than you've been waiting to read it!

Its always been a goal to get the Five Rings into a build. Around the time of the Resurrection event- my canceled entry was Gaiden Shinji: this was the first incarnation of this thing lol, way back then. Since, the wonderful extended Slow Time via Quick Reflexes was discovered and I knew it was time to revisit a samurai playthrough. I discovered the Ethereal Feint very fortuitously during this playthrough as well. Adding everything together- I knew I had my Five Rings in Skyrim.  

The build doesn't require the Aetherial Crown or the Lord Stone, nor those DLC robes btw... I liked the aesthetic, and the Lord Stone allowed me to be a little more sloppy against mages from time to time. Expert Robes and blades boots/gloves looks pretty sweet too- if'n you ever wanted to start her up without the DLC

Now then,  speaking of waiting for builds... Wheres Lirael!? 

I remember being disappointed that there was no Shinji build for the Resurrection event... I was always fascinated by all the Shinji references they threw around in the arena for Oblivion (my blog handle comes in part from Gaiden Shinji and part from Jin from Samurai Champloo).

The Five Rings sounds like a cool read and it fits beautifully in Skyrim, and yeah the next time I have a hankerin' for a Samurai build, I'm rolling this one (I get that hankerin' every other month it seems like ;D).

Lirael will be out sometime this weekend. I had it about finished then stupidly lost two or three sections and all my polishing by rushing the posting process and failing to save correctly... now every time I try to finish I just get pissed off and read builds instead xD

I'm hoping to get a quiet morning tomorrow and just make myself get over it.

I started this today and I'm really loving the build! its a nice change of pace from my usual magic/stealthy playthroughs, great job on this! +1

Builds with a lot of discipline like this are even a great change of pace from characters with the same playstyle. It's pretty great.

It really is, plus I love samurai-esque builds in general so yeah
