You do have to manually switch but there are two points to be made regarding your misconceptions about the process:

1st: the gear can and should be enchanted with any ol' basic effects in order to be renamed and thus grouped together. This makes it easy to switch between forms.

2nd: switching between forms mid-combat as enemies close in on you is not the ideal situation. You should be picking a form and entering combat scenarios with the mindset of sticking to it until your enemies are little more than charred remains. You're not becoming the Evil Commander just to switch to melee mode when enemies close the distance, you're either already in that form and pelting them with Hell-hounds from afar then switching to your Warhammer when they approach, or you're in Cleric form hurling Hell-fire at them and kiting/distracting them with minions when they close in.

One thing I liked to do was enter a dungeon that I knew looped back around, like Shimmermist, and killing the initial wave of enemies as the Cleric, then I'd leave Mehrunes' Razor on a corpse and transform, clear the dungeon and grab it back on the way out. Little symbolic gestures like that help undo the immersion-breaking that the menu-hopping causes.

I'd stick with one form for a while usually though, and then switch it up when I wanted a change of pace. Mid-combat would be somewhat clunky for me as well.

Lol I know! Ocean Splitter found a real winner with that one. Thanks, by the way! Glad I sent that message then! I look forward to everyone else's submissions as well, assuming and HOPING that nobody else will be using the same concept and gear again too lol.

I feel the same way about your comments regarding which armors do and don't look good, Bryn lol.

I don't know how to respond, this build is brilliant! A blend of role-play and gameplay that makes me want to get back into skyrim and burn so hides!

    +1 fo sho!

Thanks, Matt. Always appreciated! And always great to see someone favoring a (somewhat) less popular build of mine too!

Thanks, Grubbi! Those are pretty much all the aspects I'd hope people love!

Thanks, Mitchell! This kind of appreciation is exactly why I strive to put forth my very best effort!

Thanks K-P Rob! It def is a badass look, IMO, and I'm glad I found that art piece at the top that even resembles the in-game armor just enough to warrant its use. If anything's being summoned forth from Oblivion I think it'd look something like that, faceless and terrible!
