Interesting.  I like the challenge aspect (kill your enemy with their weapon).  (+1)

Lol that's freaking awesome. And yes, that Calm/Pacify + Pickpocket move is ridiculous. As if it wasn't easy enough already to end up with tour enemy's sword on this build. That makes it child's play. It's funny how unthreatening a Bandit Chief and his buddies can be when you've chucked his Warhammer out of sight and are holding all their swords lol.

    Nice artwork guys!

Interesting use of disarm with this build, its nice to see it being put to good use!

I really can't quite get behind heavy armor on a shadowscale nor blocking with a shield, blocking with a weapon and using the disarming bash perk would have made things more instinctive/interesting & maximising shield wall would keep your weapon blocks very solid.

Throw voice is also a nice touch although I really wish Bethesda hadn't added the stupid insults, am i right that there isn't a voice set to argonians and throw voice, thats good if so. Also love that you have referenced the argonain waterbreathing feature and blended it in with your assassinations.

    +1

Thanks, Mason! Cant fault you for the inability to suspend your disbelief with the shield and armor; it's definitely hard to disassociate Shadowscales from your typical Dark Brotherhood Assassin image. Only the boots and gloves are heavy armor though (he certainly doesn't look heavily armored at all) and it's mainly because Emer and I agreed on their aesthetic synergy with the Black Hooded Robes - it gives our Shadowscale an almost sinister Vigilant of Stendarr look, which is perfect for what we were aiming for (not your typical assassin image, yet definitely still looking like a badass motherfucker). As for the shield, I know. It can be hard to get behind. But really a master assassin should be a superb counterattacker. You can certainly sub in a weapon and disarming bash with that, but you'll give up some of the defensive and battlefield control capabilities for if/when you are detected and, role-play wise, being killed by someone carrying a sword around would simply be more expected than finding a knife in your back at the hands of someone who only had a shield on deck. There's plenty of room for modification here. Carry daggers as back-up, disarm with a sword instead and forego the shield, heck - you could even skip the heavy armor and find a light set that looks good with the robes or go all cloth and use Mage Armor instead. And really, you're primarily using your Pickpocketing capabilities and Disarm Shout to take enemies' weapons. You could skip the block perk entirely and go in unarmed, which I'm now thinking I may try myself! But for me, personally, there's no way anyone can claim to be a better assassin than someone who carries only a shield (or nothing at all) and still leaves a trail of bodies with blades protruding from their vital organs. Anyway, thanks again Mason!

I can definitely get behind the 'ringwraith' look of the character snakes it sounds really awesome and must look very imposing, I'll have to try that look out at some point! That alone is worth the +1

Honestly I'm not trying to knock your skill choices its just that I find the concept rather messy, I mean you snakes hate going into menu's and toggling through favourites. How does this guys combat flow?

    • Pickpocket/disarm enemy
    • Bend down and retrieve weapon
    • Go into inventory and select enemies weapon
    • Wait for your toon to draw new weapon
    • Kill enemy with own weapon
    • Move onto next enemy

    Sounds exhausting...

It isn't actually as bad as it sounds. Once you play on it for a little bit you'll get the swing of things. The build is really fun!

What I would consider doing Emer (&Snakes) is make the whole disarm & kill a 'feature' of the build, an ability the shadowscale uses when he really wants to show his complete disgust for an opponents lack of skill. Something humiliating he can use on bandit chiefs etc... A final insult...

I wouldn't portray it as an actual playstyle.

    Just an idea...

Disarming was something we build this build around

You can still use disarm as his main thing, i love that...

Sorry, I was referring more to the 'kill with their own weapon' part of the build. Thats the part that would really break immersion for me if I was playing.

Doesn't matter man, was just an idea.
