Survivor's Log - Fallout 4

Haven't put up a tip about this since I'm not up to the Institute yet but I expect their tech should more or less enable fast travel (you'll probably have to do 2 jumps - in and out). I'm planning on using my room in the Institute as a munitions stockpile!

To enter/exit the Railroad HQ you'll have to go in the front or back entrance each time.

To get up to the Prydwen there's a vertibird parked on a pad at the end of the airport terminal closest to the Prydwen. You just walk up to it and use it - it basically acts as a door between the terminal and the deck of the Prydwen.

Getting in to the Institute is my next objective for my playthrough. I'm planning on grabbing my hazmat suit and getting to a certain someone's cave as soon as possible, and then calling in a vertibird for a lift out. Lots of good loot in the Glowing Sea but I don't think I'm willing to risk it at this point considering the lack of beds. The fear of death that Survival instills is pretty great, huh?

Today I noticed empty bottles don't transfer via supply lines, for those of you filling up with them. I noticed because I've been growing razorgrain and using the river water for noodle cups... Counts as food and drink :D

I knew it! When they said "limited" fast travel...I had to figure that would be the setup...that's huge.

I was hoping I could go from the institute to anywhere but that's still useful. I plan on joining them anyway since it's a nice source of food and a bed

Added a tip regarding the Institute's doctor.

It seems more and more that the Institute is the #1 choice for a survival player...

The Minutemen (artillery support & reinforcements) and Brotherhood (vertibird travel) have their benefits, but unfortunately later on the Brotherhood and Institute become pretty much mutually exclusive.

Unfortunately the Railroad doesn't seem to really have anything going for them. Even in their base all the beds are dirty floor mattresses, so you've got a chance to get sick and you can only rest a few hours at a time...

Yeah, the Railroad could definitely use some balance improvements for Survival. Also, aren't Minutemen reinforcements stuck at level one? Or was that patched?

Not sure, they seem pretty useful either way though.
