Oh man, can't beleive I hadn't dropped a comment in here before. I'm really digging the concept behind the build, especially since your basically focusing on all aspects of Conjuration (and Conjuration is the best), but the general idea of the build is amazing.

I don't really have any questions or comments to drop, other than asking if your going to end up going for Atronach Thralls or not, I honestly haven't seen many builds that have used the Thralls and it could be really interesting.

Thanks Dragonborn, been stewing Urag in my brain for a while now. The thralls are something I'm considering, though I'd like to explore two dragonborn summons too. He has been a blast to play so far, the slow magicka regen really throwing in some "oh shit" moments in the game. Forces me to use Berserker.

Now, that my game seems to be working again, I will be playtesting the extra version of Witbane tonight. Give him a real challenge. Labyrinthian is going to be interesting.

So basically you plan on having no magicka ever, right?

Oh ye of little faith. There will be magicks. Old Urag has some tricks up his sleeve.

    Gonna test DOUBLE witbane today.

I'm interested to see if that has any effect at all or if you just manage to confirm there's a cap.

You're gonna die. It's sooooooooooo epic.

    So here's what I got

    -50% Atronach Stone

Now I did some console magicks

-50% Witbane version one 0010A250. Your chances of getting the second version get better if you add this one first

    -50% Witbane version two 000B8783.

    Holy crap.

NO MAGICKA REGEN has been attained for all practical purposes. I did a test where I waited for an hour then two hours then a day, then three days. Nothing. Zippo.

    I post screenies of proof.

    Here are my active effects

Then I cast a ward and drained myself dry. And then did the tests.

Oh lord it all gone. All gones. Not sure if I should continue playing this way or wait until my Conjuration cost is near zero. The game just got realz.

Are you sure it gets better if you add them in that order? Cause UESP claims that it's just randomised, you can find that little bit when they explain the console command addspell.

So then there is no cap and they just don't stack perfectly. Now that is going to be an interesting way to play a mage :D

    Well here was the situation.

I tried adding witbane several times using the other one, the 000b8783. I added it like a bunch of times, a few times where the randomizer gave a high probability that I would catch it. It even said I had witbane. However, it didn't show up in active effects for me. Only when I added the 0010 version first and then add the other version, again getting a high probability of getting it, the number was less than 1 or even 0, did the second Witbane finally show up on my active effects. Could be that I have a patched game and this is messing with it. Probably saying now why on earth would you give yourself witbane twice my dear.

Uh, yeah, interesting way to play a mage definitely. Welcome to Oblivion and Morrowind Atronachs with Skyrim's stinginess in their Atronach stone. In those games, at least the magicka boost was in the triple digits. This build becomes all about cost reduction and clever use of potions.

Elsweyr fondue replaces 100 points of magicka and you regenerate 25% faster, but it doesn't stack and didn't make a dent in the Atronach's regen to help. You eat 10 Elweyr fondues and you will only get 100 magicka back. Potions, on the other hand, stack. Not certain if I should make him some potions or rely on purchased and found magicka potions.

Not even sure if I should wait to trigger the Atronach until he's got his Conjuration reduced enough. I believe I can recreate the effect again. I did it like three times to be sure I was getting it right.

Ah yes the Atronach of old, twas a harsh mistress. I remember making a character with 100% absorb magic and reflect damage to becomae almost immortal XD

I'm gonna go for gusto and play this way. Will probably add unperked Alchemy so he can at least make magicka potions. And he can make his Elsweyr fondue. And later comed Equilibrium and 80% spell absorb is going to be so important, as are possibly Miraak's robes. Hmm, things to think about. Some retooling needs to be done, but holy crap potentially so exciting.
