When why he isn't a god anymore? If achieving CHIM by itself makes one a god, why the whole story with Lorkhan's heart matters at all? As for the Sermons, don't forget that they were written by Vivec himself, are they that reliable?
An aspect of him independent of him? How is it possible?
What if Sithis is actually a god? What if there's no speaking corpses, the LDB just went nuts and hears voices, lol))) There can be so many what ifs, but we want to find something that looks possible, no?

Well, he himself said that he isn't anymore (unless I missed something), also the fact that Almalexia and Sotha Sil are dead kinda implies that their godhood ended with Lorkhan's heart. But we can't really answer this question without determining what exactly makes one a god.
Aspects... I really don't know why people like to complicate it so. As I see it, well, Trinimac definitely is an aspect of Malacath - he is Malacath's past, without Trinimac Malacath can't be. Kyne and Kynareth is another story, I think they are actually one and the same, but people see them differently. You know, the way how in some IRL religions people view gods differently but if you dig further you can see that it's the same god. Talos and Lorkhan is an entirely third story. Don't try and throw all the fruits in the same basket and you'll see it's not really that complicated.
As for Sithis... there is a moment in the Creation myths (at least Elven) where Auri-El actually interacts with Anui-El... so it seems like Anui-El is actually some entity. So it's logical to aasume that Sithis is an entity as well...

I operate under with Fire and Darkness being the most true account, though I sincerely doubt any of the delusional fools in the dark Brotherhood actually know who the Night Mother really is. Such is the way of Mephala, to deceive and manipulate mortals to achieve her own ends. With the rise of the Tribunal, I do think Vivec replaced Mephala as the central worship for the Morag Tong, and the Dark Brotherhood started when Mephala came to a dunmeri woman pretending to be Sithis and then again to this unnamed man to who became the first Listener.

I like this, because this actually gives Mephala a reason to create the Brotherhood. If Tong turned to Vivec instead of her, she would make new guild for herself. For some reason I always believed that this is something that Boethia would more likely pull off, hm. But yeah, this sounds reasonable.
And what do you think about the theory that Vivec is actually both Night Mother and Sithis, Tom? Or at least she is acting as them. It´s something Phil dropped on me and it´s mostly based on Vivec´s Sermons - which is something I just can´t wrap my head about.
