I think it would be even cooler if it was a non-Human. Human Shezzarines are sooooo Third Era.

Hmmm, what about an Argonian? Or maybe a Khajiit? ))))

Aldmer are descended, from what I understand of the Lore, from the Ehlnofey. There are Ehlnofey that remained in I think one chunk of a world that became the proto-mer and wandering Ehlnofey that became the proto-men.

From what I understand, Dragons existed from the advent of time, though according to Shalidor's writings, they were wild too.

I have a crazy theory that they are also Ehlnofey, cause man, those things really took on some different forms, but that they assumed their shape much earlier. That may be wrong though. I say a lot of wrong things, be forewarned.

Oh wow, are we branching off now. Sorry Phil *hugs*

How then the Altmer claim the Aedra in general and Auri-El in particular to be their ancestors?

I actually like your theory, it's quite beautiful)

So the LD helps Ulfric, and at the final battle Tullius tries to kill The LD, but he kills Tullius instead, and then Ulfric kills the LD and becomes King. So technically helping Ulfric is the lore friendly way to go.

Here is a chart. You may not like the position of the Ehlnofey, but they are in that particular place because they are the first on that list with mortality.

    Chart

I think there are better ones though, but this one makes sense if you study it carefully and I didn't feel like searching for hours. They can totally claim descent and there is legit connection between the Ehlnofey, and Anu/Anui-El/The Et'Ada/The Aedra. I myself don't love the position of the dragons on that chart, looks a bit late, but that's just me and I'll ignore that for the sake of doing a yummy narrative.

Aldmer can totally do what they want in their own creation myth. Now what really happened and what a race wants to happen in their history can be two different things, couldn't it?

Are you familiar with the MK quote about "erasing man from the mythic"? I didn't include that in the article because it causes more argument than anything else, but I am happy to discuss it if you want

And now I wonder, if Talos replaced Lorkhan, does that mean that there will be no more Shezzarines?

This is interesting. I said above that to me the Heresy is more compelling to write about because of the Ghost of Old Hrol'dan. This spirit recognises you as Hjalti. If you buy the idea that Hjalti was an avatar of Lorkhan - a Shezarrine - then it stands to reason that the ghost recognises you as a Dragonborn Shezrrine - just like Talos himself. That's mad when you think about it - TLD is both an avatar of Akatosh and an avatar of Lorkhan, just like Talos. If interpreted that way then the real Importance of Talos is that he is the Player Character
