Dealing with inconsistencies: Clan Volkihar

Yes, my hero mentions this when he finds the Hall of the Vigilants destroyed, though I extend the ability to reaching from the deep snow as well, which works.

    Yes, the two dragons. :)

I can see similarities in the bridge in the Volkihar Under Croft and the bridge spanning the chasm to Auriel's Chantry:

What castle Volkihar lacks is the "ribbed" windows and clean masonry of Falmer design. I can imagine that Volihar Castle was once a Snow Elf chapel, slowly corrupted over time to resemble what is does now. That'd fit with the general theme of the Dawnguard dlc and Falmer history.

I need more convincing on the Moondial, it says Dwemer to me. Have you got any comparisons with existing Falmer designs?

Well this is an actual dwemer sundial:

The key is again Serana's dialogue I think. She mentions a Elven craftsmen. You don't think she would've said Dwemer? She mentions Dwemer specific stuff when she's near a Dwemer ruin, so why wouldn't she then refer to the Dwemer regarding the Sundial, if it was indeed a Dwemer design? Just wondering. But lol, you don't take her to Dwemer ruins so you don't hear her gab about it. I've just taken her to four. Lol

You need to find me her Dwemer related dialogue.

If the Moondial is elven I still don't see why that would automatically mean "Falmer." Not dismissing it, just I need more of a connection, one more piece of evidence for it to fit.

What do you interpret this mean?

Why would Durnehviir's arrival in the Soul Cairn have to be during the Dragon War? According to him, he studied Necromancy and went to the Soul Cairn in order to gain an edge in battles against other dragons. In fact, his dialogue leads me to believe that it was after the Dragon War.

Remember that sometimes two different truths can refute each other without both of them being less truthful TES is weird like that.

I'm not sure, is she possibly referring to the All-Maker?
