Mara and the Ritual Stone

Name another in Skyrim and you don't.

The powers change, as the quote states. Aspects of the Divines change throughout Tamriel. The Divines associated with each Stone might change.

You're gun-ho about connecting the Ritual with Mara, when Skyrim throws a glaring flaw in this assumption.

In Skyrim, not. But in ESO, Divine armor trait increases boons from Mundus stones (Link).

Oblivion clearly establishes a connection between Ritual sign and Mara. And like you said, the aspects of the Divines change depending on a province. So why can't the Ritual sign be connected to Mara?

Hmm....the Ritual Stone's season is the Morning Star, which is another name for Lucifer, the Ritual Stone allows you to do something unholywhich is raising the dead through dark magics....raise the dead, Vampires in Skyrim are the living dead, who often use Necromancy, and vampires were created by Molag Bal.....

Because even in Skyrim Mara doesn't resemble the powers granted by the Ritual Stone.

There's one other Birthsign Stone in Oblivion that has anything to do with a god, and that is Ysmir who is not a Divine, but a Nordic hero-deity.

The standing stones aren't tied to any deity, because the stars aren't tied to any deity. The stars are tied to Magna Ge, if anything. The Aedra are tied to the earth and Mundus.

Are the Magna Ge considered to be a "Divine?" The source you quoted states that a stone provides "a variety of abilities depending on the aspects of the moons and the Divines."

    No, they aren't.

I really think you guys are reading these too literally. I read,  "the Divines might have some influence on the stones, not "the Divines control the stones."

Jesus is also called the Morning Star in Revelations, it is simply meaning King. The reference of Lucifer being the Morning Star is disputed, as Isaiah may have been writing about a king on earth. Either way, the end result is that king , or perhaps Lucifer, being false and Christ being the true king.

I like the corruption theory that was put forward as it follows a very logical line of argument.

In ESO the Ritual Stone gives a very similar blessing to the Ritual Stone in Oblivion.

In Skyrim, the Ritual Stone now has an evil connotation of raising the undead.

Corruption of good things is usually associated with a presence of great evil such as, for example, the Oblivion Crisis? Just because it did not occur in Skyrim does not mean that the affects of it were not far reaching.

Also, the necromancer at the Ritual Stone, and its new ability of PERFORMING NECROMANCY, seem to align.

Loadshedding is no power for 2 hours per day, or more, depending which stage we are in. It doesn't always occur, but its starting to happen every year now. Because of .... reasons.
