Sorry for the (really) late reply, I've been revising.

Scaling back how often you practice with spells, even forgetting how to use spells all together, could work. You don't have enough room in your head for scholary things and how to use magic, and this could also show his mastery, as he is more adept but also more reliable with maguc as his skill climbs.

I would go to the Riverwood Trader, as the only merchant in town, it would make sense. Also, you could make Camilla Valerius get it on with Faendal, and as he works at the mill, it could kindle the shop's interest in timber and all that.

I've never encountered, or should I say not encountered Hod, but I've seen the problem a lot on the internet over the years, so it's a known problem.

Why would a man who was traumatized by neglectful Argonians give Wujeeta a healing potion?

He could have come to terms with his past and realised that not all Argonians are bad. He realised that he shouldn't condemn other people based on one terrible experience.

I've sketched out an inventory system (max. two one-handed weapons, two two-handed weapons, one full suit of each armor type, 11 potions), but I'm having trouble coming up with a max number of books, ingredients, food, crafting materials, etc..

Check out this guide: A Traveler's Backpack. It has some cool tips on what to keep in the backpack...except for books.

I would suggest you only keep books that are essential to your class in your bag at all time i.e if you're an alchemist you keep the herbalist guide in your bag, or if you are more of a hunter, then you keep the guide on the wild animals (forgot the name) in your backpack, or an assassin of the DB would keep a book about the Night Mother in his backpack. From there you could set the limit of the books to maybe from 5 to 10 without your essential books. I think 5-10 books seems realistic.

Here's something I'm struggling with right now and could do with some advice on. How do you roleplay a bard who doesn't really have an outgoing personality? Here's the deal. The Become a Bard mod allows us to use the instruments in-game and perform at taverns for a small reward and a free room for the night. It's great fun and a novelty, as well as giving the bard's college a bit more depth so I am enjoying it.

Yet it doesn't really fit the character. It suits her background because she is educated and classically trained in music and dance and uses those skills as she travelled north to Skyrim, saving her coin to buy Shoal's Rest Farm (alternate start mod). Yet now she's bought the farm and is doing pretty well for herself, how do I justify her continuing to do this? She's not the type to revel in praise or seek applause due to her humility. She doesn't need the coin as she is successful.

Why would such a person continue to perform?

Do you have any way to build on the farm? Because if so, and this is a bit of a silly suggestion, something as mundane as having builders renovating the house could be enough to force her to move every now and then, and going to collect timber and building supplies for them would take you to every city in Skyrim, meaning she would once again have to rely on her trade. It's not exactly awe-inspiring, but sometimes I find taking inspiration from real life isn't a bad idea. And if you can't build up the house, going to gather supplies for repairs makes sense, especially as she values her home so much.

There is also always the option of her visiting people. I assume that her family isn't in Skyrim, but friends that she's done quests for, the Bards College, comrades who were injured in battle, all of them would make sense to visit. And if she's educated and humble, it isn't unlikely that she would feel obligated to help them, forcing her to regularly go to every corner of the map to visit people.

Thanks Zon, I'll take that on board. In fact I think you've triggered a chain of thought. Much appreciated! :)

Alas, there is no option to renovate that I know of, which sucks because she would've liked to have an enchanting table. Hell of an oversight to account for. After all that planning, saving and moving to a new province and they failed to add an enchanting table as requested?! I bet she's livid.

Glad to see that I've helped, Phil, sometimes giving someone the beginning of an idea is better than just giving them one, so I;m happy with that result!

Hmmm, no enchanting table you say? Looks like you need to appeal to a jarl, or, failing that, complete the civil war to replace them (which isn't passive aggressive at all), I bet the new jarl will be a lot more open to the idea!

What's a roleplay reason for selling stacks of items individually?
