Great post Teccam, you were te I e who introduced me to 100% Shout fortification, and I really do love it. I think I've made five characters using it, starting with your Crimson Scar (who's still saved on my hard drive) and although the crafting route does feel more rewarding (payoff for time spent) I've used the werewolf chat glitch for my last two characters, NoSnakes' Master Monk and a Graybeard character I made. It's quicker, and lets you start combining shouts sooner, although I have to admit it feels a bit cheaper... But I am over enchanting in this game, and not all characters can be necromage vampires... I'll come back later with some shout combos! Right now... Off to go play as a Graybeard!

Jeez, stupid typo in the first sentance, thanks iPod... I meant "You were the one who" not "You were te I e"

Thanks Jolly. Looking forward to your ideas. I recall you mentioning in the Crimson Scar comments that you spent a lot of time playing that build, which really means a lot to me.

I'm inclined to agree with regard to crafting vs. using the werewolf chat method — it just feels a bit more that you've fully earned it, the same way you grind those skills to earn 100% spell cost reduction or max Magic Resistance. On the other hand though, if the end result is a powerful exploit, I can also see why you'd be justified using a powerful exploit to make that end result come quicker and easier.

For the record, you could do method 1 without Enchanting, it'd just be a bit messier, more complicated, and not as clean. All three methods I propose will grant exactly 100% Fortify Shouts in straightforward manners. You could however find some items in random loot that total 67% Fortify Alchemy (e.g., two "of Peerless Alchemy" and one "of Major Alchemy") then buff those up to 100% total using a generic "Elixir of the Healer" for the same net effect.

Yeah the Crimson Scar was a really really fun character! I clocked about 60 or so hours with that one I believe... Played it till about when Dragonborn was released. Shouting combos really open up combat in innovative ways, and compliment almost any build out there! I think I want to try to make a pure Mage who uses it now... I've done an assassin, a monk, a vampiric orcish juggernaut, and a Graybeard with infinite shouting, but no mages...

Some of the combos I promised: Untouchable: Slow time, Whirlwind sprint, Elemental fury. Launch: Cyclone, Unrelenting force. Wrath: Marked for Death, Storm call, Call Dragon.

Added them, thanks for the suggestions. On the Launch move, you could pull a Master Monk and try stacking one or both shouts. I don't know whether Cyclone stacks, but Snakes stacks Unrelenting Force for one or two of his special moves.

The great thing about shouts is that they can complement any play style. If you try this on a mage, you can do things like use Slow Time to stack more DOT effects, or combine fire cloaks and spells with the Fire Breath Shout for optimal fire damage.

Perhaps you could add something about when you have to use your fire breath shout on Paarthurnax you can just leave and your shout cool down will be severely reduced.

and now for my shout combo: Bend will, Become ethereal I call it "the Marionette"

Added the Marionette. I like that one.

As for the Paarthurnax thing, I don't think it really fits here. It doesn't eliminate the cooldown, it just decreases it greatly. That still isn't enough to actually use chains and combos though. And it forces the player to forego any Shouts that would be picked up later on in the main quest. There's also already a thread on the subject in the group, so it doesn't really need to be restated. It is good to know about though.

Awesome write-up Teccam! Nice to see all these methods documented in one place! One thing, maybe detail how to equip multiple amulets via werewolf glitch? It seems to be one of the most popular questions in the comments for Master Monk.

P.S. I think that glitch works with vampire lord form as well
