Hey Ctfgaming. There's a lot of ways to beat writers block that work for people, and Googling the problem gives solutions that work for most authors (yours truly being a glaring exception). If not, feel free to post details or ideas you have, I'm sure someone here will be able to help out.

ToC: Song of the Faithful http://tamrielvault.com/blogs/7941/4464/the-song-of-the-faithful-to-c

Because why not? Getting more social means I'll get more invested in the project.

Speaking of social, interesting takes on lycanthropyin both of your continuities. Without elaborating too much, SotF takes that ALL depictions of lycanthropy (technically it's called Therianthropy but whatever) in all TES games as canon with each regions featuring different strains due to the strange machinations of the Daedra.

Let’s get one matter sorted out once and for all.

The next member to say that Lycanthropy is a disease gets banned from TSC…..

Lissette.... my wolfish reptilian eyes are looking straight at you!!!

    The beast blood is a gift….. period…

Well I suppose that is one massive difference between our stories. Although in your story Lycanthropy plays a major part, my story is all about it. The way it affects each member in their own right.

One thing I do like from your story is the fact that when someone changes they drop their armor. However one thing we have to bear in mind is the practicality of implementing anything within our stories.

At a guess I would say that Werewolves change less frequently.

In the battle of Whiterun alone, Sotek changes…

    1 Dragonsreach

    2 After falling through….

    3 When they get to…

    4 When someone is…

Four times during and immediately after the battle of Whiterun.

Despite how much I like the fact that the armor is dropped, there is no way I can implement this within my story. The use of the werewolf form is too prolific especially when Aela and Sotek go off on their hunting trips.

Certain plants will affect werewolves in my story although I don’t have fruit or such affect them and silver as with most of our stories affects them as well although with Sotek’s werewolf form, silver affects him far more.

One of the biggest differences I think is how we treat the werewolf forms. In most stories, Lissette’s as well, the werewolf form is still that same person: Aela is Aela.

In my story however they are two different entities altogether. Aela is very close to Red, her werewolf form particularly during two emotions; extreme pleasure like sex (this is why she howls as they both share the emotions between them) and during extreme pain. In one part of the story she pulls out an arrow from her leg. This forces her to change into Red who goes crazy.

Sotek, who is also close to his werewolf form has a specific emotion which can force a change whether he wants it to or not. This one however draws certain problems with Serana as the mere presence of her can trigger it should she use her Vampire Lord form around him.

Not every werewolf will have the same triggers. Aela its more pain than pleasure, with another werewolf it’s more pleasure than pain. This does cause her difficulties in relationships.

Sotek’s is anger. Not a typical anger, but a burning hatred beyond logic or compromise. An anger where you are willing to sacrifice your honor, your friends and mate for one thing… revenge.

As to temples and shrines, I’m way less picky. Although there are items from shrines which will affect any daedric worshiper which for the record we can happily class Aela as being one. She does worship Hircine and she does see him as her Lord and master.

This early in the story though, Sotek don’t. In fact he has an ongoing attitude problem with Hircine. One which will take more than several severe actions and events to sort out.

Again with me, should someone die in the hunting grounds then they become a resident there. I have a few occasions when Aela and Sotek visit the grounds through one way or another. I use the Morrowind Solstheim for my Hunting Grounds. People are there as well as wolves and bears ect. Forever trapped in a harsh cold environment.

One factor I give Sotek is three boons. These protect him from severe cold environments.  Later, Aela will get these as well due to a certain event which takes place. The counter to this is heat. Sotek cannot take the warmth which one would expect from a typical Argonian. Black Marsh is too tropical for him and he suffers greatly from the high moist temperature there.

Is being a werewolf illegal though? Well there is no law stating thou shall not transform into a ravenous beast and howl at the Bloodmoon as such…

It’s certainly not accepted… but then again time is relentless and time has a way of changing things…

Oh I am not so one-sided and I said magical disease. It's certainly not the common cold.

    Sanies Lupinus

Sanies Lupinus, also called Canis Hysteria,[1] is contracted from lycanthropes, and causes drowsiness. However, after a three day incubation period the victim will become a lycanthrope (the type of which depends on the creature that caused the infection). The disease can easily be cured within the three days, but lycanthropy can only be cured by ritual.

It can also be directly given by Hircine as a reward to a great hunter or in a ceremony by consuming the blood of a forbear, as is the case in the Companion's questline. So, yes, a gift too, but not period.  I've said it several times already. Skjor considers it a gift, Kodlak a curse and my Jorrvaskr is pretty sharply divided on the matter with my Knight-Paladin stuck right in the middle.

As to it being illegal. In game you get a 1000 bounty for transforming in public and there is lore presedent. While it doesn't explicitely state it is illegal, the outcome for becoming infected in the Imperial legion is pretty bad in this lore book.

Stares right back at those wolfish reptilian eyes. :D

Considering my TOC's already there I'll hop on the Campfire - currently I'm just reposting chapters and at some point I'll just write a few to finish the series, they'll probably suck considering I'm not too into the series anymore - I just want to get it over and done with, to be honest. It's like when you're replaying Fallout 4 a game for the for the fifth time and the lack of replayability is getting to you but you feel obliged to finish the main quest anyway.

Just to stay remotely on topic, I think Lycanthropy is a gift, just look at Bjorn - he's a 1000 pound 450 pound werewolf and he treats it like a gift!

Shame you're not getting the buzz out of your story Will. Remember not everyone finishes their stories off. Many a story is in parts.

Is it the writing or is the story not capturing your interest? If its just the story itself there are a good few things you could do to change it.

I'm stuck on Part 17 of Agents of the Queen. In this part, the gang arrives at Skywatch, where the Defiance Festival has just begun, like in ESO. However, in this part, they decide to relax for a while, and Elereth convinces Ardolan to shapeshift into his cursed form again via the ring Curinure gave him, basically to cheer the Bosmer up a bit (Elereth thinks 'Synia' is really hot, for the record. She's bisexual, as hinted at earlier in AotQ). But, after the transformation is complete and Ardolan becomes Synia for a while, I don't know where to take things. I know Ardolan will eventually go back to normal, but I also know he'll spend time under the curse to make Elereth happy. I want a 'breather' part, or maybe even two, seeing as how I plan the adaptation of the Skywatch quest to be pretty intense. Thoughts?
