Some alcohol is more easy to acquire than others with the brandy being the hardest. But that could easily be changed to a mead like Black Briar reserve or perhaps one of the special drinks sold at the Bee and Barb.

As for the gods, Yeah, I'd adapt them to skyrim definitely. I think you can respect the voodoo pantheon while still following the rules of the ES universe. Just involves a bit of research as to where there are appropriate replacements. You can go full Daedric or full Redguard Pantheon.

And maybe add in a small bit about which diety in Voodoo this one is representative of

I liked your original drink names better, not that it’s not great to be Skyrim-y, because it definitely is. It’s just that those drinks already exist in the game and already have their own alchemical attributes. So I liked you creating your own potions and giving them their own names, and bonus, that those drinks are related to your original inspiration. Although, I have to say i think it’s hysterical in-game that alcoholic drinks have any attributes other than “makes you giggle a lot more and maybe do things you shouldn’t.”

I remember the drunken montages in Kingdom Come Deliverance

Yea, that was my thought process in the first place. Seems like ES has a lot of the same alcoholic drinks that we do so I don't think they were particularly un-skyrimy before. Though I think what Liz is suggesting is to nix Alchemy entirely and use actual drinks and food as offerings which, while the names would be less representative of the source material, the functionality might be a little more. Alchemy is a major skill though they would require reworking the entire build for something that's pretty subjective, so I like the compromise is at now.

This is great. Didn't expect to log on here and learn something about Voodoo. :)

Love the clean, bold presentation. Just one thing though, you can stop your images butting up to your text by putting hspace="5" inside the tag. (I think...someone correct me if I've misremembered that).

Thanks man. They're butting up my text? What does that mean? I don't think I can see it on mobile.

I wasn't suggesting removing alchemy. I was suggesting using drinks from the world as the offering. There's a difference and my apologies if that was your impression. My criticism of the build is that you are using Voodoo terminology in the ES world, especially with regard to the Loa and for a race where Voodoo practices wouldn't normally jive. I think there is room to Skyrimize the Loa and then your build would really take off. But it is a matter of what you personally prefer. Some people prefer a more lore-friendly approach where skyrimizing is done, and for others, it doesn't affect so much.

No apologies necessary, the only reason I interpreted it that way was because I had legitimately considered that option. I went with alchemy though and based much of the build around it so it's too late to change now. Lol. I like the more Skyrimy names for the offering though.

I would normally be on the more lore-friendly approach, but for this build in particular I set out to create a distinctly less fictionalized version of a famously misrepresented real life religion.

Just the pictures with text next to them. For example, there's no whitespace between the picture you've used to illustrate Damballa/Akatosh, and the text description. I can see it on PC.
