Ditto. I'm planning to do a knight character that uses scrolls in lieu of Alchemy/Magic. Great RP here, and a comforting proof of concept! Nice work, Archanon!

This is pretty unique, definite like from me. How did you get the Tower Stone to work with the Aetherial Crown? I could never get that combo to work.

I have a few gripes with this, man.

First, Tower Stone doesn't work with Aetherial Crown (tested by both me and Phil for his Knight of Crystal Tower build) because it's an Active Effect rather than a power like, say, Ritual Stone and Serpent Stone

Second, some scrolls are seriously underpowered compared to their spell equivalents. Like, Scroll of Ebonyflesh improves armor only by 35. Dead Thrall scrolls (I only ever found one) have a maximum level of 15 so they are rendered obsolete on higher levels.

Some perks don't affect scrolls, such as Elemental Potency, Dark Souls and Master of the Mind. Summoner perks are useless with scrolls because they have a huge range right from the start.

I tried making a build to focus on scrolls but was running out of them too quickly, the only ones I could reliable create were the Conjure Atronach scrolls via Atronach Forge.

Regarding the presentation, equipment spread is good, but perks are a bit hard to see partly because of the background choice and partly because of the blue glow and small font size. Try just using 1-2px black outline to the text instead of glow.

Overall, I like your approach of not perking cost-reducing perks and focusing on augmenting scrolls but I feel like it would have worked much better with staves instead of scrolls.

That's sad to hear about the scrolls. Are they any articles with some in depth experimentation out there?

    This covers them quite well

I am sorry about some of these problems- I must have missed a few things while testing. I will fix them all tonight, but can you please send me a message containing all of the unusable perks? Apocrypha carried enough powerful scrolls to defeat most enemies easily, at least when I played through with this build. You are correct in that some of the scrolls are useless, but you can get an elemental Thrall scroll to replace the necromantic one. Also, keep in mind that you have to play this VERY differently from a standard game; before every adventure, you really need to prepare by going to many spell merchants and by re-looting the areas of Apocrypha. I will definitely fix the rest of it, though.

Sent you a friend request. The perks I mentioned are the ones I'm completely sure don't work with scrolls, others I'm not 100% sure and didn't list them for that reason. I'll PM them anyway, along with some info of my own about scrolls

I have fixed all of the aforementioned problems, and will continue to fix this build should more issues arise.

How come you changed the perk spread font and color? Did someone bring that up? It seems harder to read now (it read fine before, at least for me).
