Really, cause Herma Mora seems more like the devil to them

Yeah, but I'm referring to Aevar Stone-Singer, a book from Morrowind that also shows up in Skyrim: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:The_Greedy_Man#The_Greedy_Man

Been awhile since I read it, granted.

another thing, this is something i always do with my Nord characters (though you can ignore this) is that they never take stuff from Nordic ruins (the bloodskaal blade is an exception but i leave an leveled two handed weapon behind in return). That means no taking stuff from chests, burial urns or even dragur however the temptation would be unless they are part of a quest.

Killing dragur and raising them up again, good. Stealing from them is pointless as they were just doing their job. I mean wouldn't you as a Nord will want your remains untouched? So treat the dead and undead with respect unless you are defending yourself.

Take the horn of Jurgen Windcaller from Delphine to get the last shout of Fus Ro Dah and have nothing to do with her. (Just take it and leave. The quest marker will still be there but so what, just ignore it.)

Marrying Morwen and getting Breezehome in Whiterun makes sense as this ensures getting heirs. I don't see this person becoming super rich and buying houses like crazy or being a fatherly figure but he does need at least one child to train as an apprentice in the Clever Man's Art before he passes on.

Nice, I get where you're coming from now.  I hadn't thought of Breezehome - too homey for this guy, I thought.  But it could work - and would make sense once you take the city back for the Stormcloaks.

For my character, I bought Hjerim. I love Windhelm, and the Stormcloak questline made the house easier to acquire sooner. But it never felt like home - it was just a place for me to store my gear, after I grudgingly realized I needed a chest to dump all my ore, hides, etc. for smithing.

    Paul England still makes builds?

Pretty cool build you've got here. I do have a couple of things to note though:

I went as far as learning Fus Ro Dah from the Greybeards, then dropped the questline before I met Delphine.

This doesn't make sense. In order to learn the last word (Dah) and Complete the Horn of Jurgen Windcaller, you have to meet with Delphine to get the horn from her. I also recommend completing the quest after that (A Blade in the Dark) since Sahloknir is an easy dragon soul, and after that quest Delphine will return to her secret little room, never to bother you again.

You mentioned the Soul Cairn; did you actually use the summons found within? I could see it being rather useful considering that, with Devastating Blow, there's always the chance of decapitating enemies you could've otherwise raised.

Rather than trying to shout dragons until they fall out of the sky, it'd probably easier to just use Marked For Death (an appropriate shout for the build) to heavily reduce their armor rating and slice them into bits once they land.

After smithing your greatsword to your heart's content, why not use Waking Dreams to shift the perks into the left side of the tree? That way, you can double the improvement of your Scaled Boots/Gauntlets with Advanced Armors. And of course, once you're done with Smithing/Enchanting altogether, you can shift the points out of there and into Light Armor and Block.

You might wanna mention The Black Star as a potential quest; it would definitely be a useful item for the build and tricking Azura definitely seems like the sort of thing this guy would do.

Overall, it's definitely a good build and deserving of a +1 from me.

A Nord barbarian mage? Uncommon sight, that's for sure. One minor comment I have is that the aesthetics are perhaps too simple, but that's just me. Nevertheless, great build once again, Mr. England. A +1 from me.

    Great points, thanks!

I'll change that reference to Delphine - I simply forgot you had to meet her to get the horn. (I click through her conversations pretty quickly, trying my best to ignore her existence most of the time)

Soul Cairn summons could work, yes. I never used them, myself. I didn't decapitate foes enough for it to be a problem, and not long after my visit to the Soul Cairn I was in Apocrypha, with access to the Seeker summons as my backup.

I did use Marked for Death against dragons occasionally; there's a brief mention of it in the build. I would have made more use of it (it does fit really well), but I only ran across a single word in my travels. I know one word is questlocked. There were only 2 dragon fights where the beasts never landed, though - I looked at those as an opportunity to work up my Restoration in between Shouts while getting blasted with fire. :P

As for respeccing, that would be a good idea down the line for a character who wants to get into the 50s or 60s, level-wise. I play on Adept, so I could get away with unperked defensive skills - still challenging, but not suicide.

Good idea with the Black Star! I had thought of it, but never got around to picking it up on my run.

You're welcome! I guess I missed that mention of Marked for Death the first time I read the build.

I read this build and love it! I've played 36 different mages 24 were nords. I don't know why but they have this cool Mage feel. And a question. Where is that Talos statue?I've played a ton of hours in skyrim and have discovered and cleared every location and can't find it.
