Hey all, I'm new to this site and I haven't played skyrim in quite some time. These builds are getting me really pumped to play again. I mulled over choosing this or the demon hunter for HOURS the other night! I finally chose this one (though I'm sure ill play them both) just a few questions though! What bows should I be enchanting and when? Like do the weapons in this game go up as you level? I just started her last night, she's level 8 mad im getting ready to focus hard on enchanting. Seems like this is going to be a lot of fun I've never used enchanting before. Is that the perk to work up first? I realize archery needs to be ere as well.

Also, how do you control the damage points you put in? The sliders I assume?

You can run with pretty much any bow you find, the bulk of your damage should always from the enchantment. I usually head to Whiterun and shop at the Drunken Huntsman for a solid bow to enchant (elven/glass/ebony) weapons will get extra sting as you add points to archery and always toss an ingot at it before you place your enchant for a little extra damage.

Yep, definitely push at enchanting. It holds the build together and is pretty easy to level if you collect/buy the gems. Personally I always run with the max elemental damage my bows are capable of (sliders).

    Good luck!

I've mulled over the same decision for hours upon hours too, Mike, and even came to the same conclusion! :X The way I see it, the Arcane Archer is one of the best builds around for anyone playing on console such as myself who doesn't want to break the immersion with a ton of menu-juggling, whereas my Demonhunter is perfect for anyone with a few extra hotkey slots open on PC.

the armor im using right now is the savior's hide armor and enchanted hide boots also i went the conjuration way for the bound bow soul trapper and the black star quest (now if only the black star could hold more then one soul) btw i love this build +1

Try and get some stormcloak officer gear to go with the saviours hide if you went down the Nightstalker route...

So, I've been eyeing this build for a few good weeks now.  It looks like a ton of fun.  Anyway, I was just curious if it would be viable to play through the first twenty or so levels as a pure mage? While dong so I could work up my speech, as well as the perks in the various schools of magic. Just thought I would seek your insight. Heh.

    Good tidings,

    Twitch.

Haven't read all 44 pages of comments so I don't know if this is covered, but the specialized elemental perks (Disintegrate, Deep Freeze, etc) don't apply to elemental enchantments on weapons.  At least not that I've ever seen or been able to find online.  Have you actually seen it working?
