I like those games as well, I just think that a franchise as important to Bethesda as the Elder Scrolls should have priority over Wolf 2 and Evil Within.

I see that point, but I don't think so. When you make one games series a priority over the others, then you become a one trick pony, and people will get bored of it, look at Activision and Call of Duty. My problem with Bethesda and TES 6 is that they have gone back forth of in development and not in development so much it gets annoying that is what I hate, either say it is in devolvement or not. Also, you want to talk about the important franchises of Bethesda or even ZeniMax they have Wolf, Doom, and Quake well-known games and games that have a had a fan base for a long time, so why should they get put on the back burner.

I'm just saying that they should hurry up a bit. That's just my opinion. But I get your point. Hines says it's not in development, while Todd says it is. Personally, I trust Todd. He's the face of Bethesda. If he says it's on, it's on. They're just keeping it a secret.

I don't know if I would beleive Todd, either he does seem to back track at times. I so see your point that they should hurry up, though I think that would hurt it to an extent, but if they keep teasing it and such then more peoeple will be willing to buy it.

It's the Elder Scrolls, people are going to buy it no matter what. I know I will. :D

Yes, but it will more than likely be Skyrim 2.0 instead of something original. I will still buy it, though I may wait a while after a while to actually buy it.

I want it to be set in Black Marsh or Morrowind again. Or Hammerfell.

I hope it isn't Morrowind, I am so freakin tired of Morrowind and the Dunmer. They also already have a game based in Hammerfell. I would like it to be like Arena where I could visit all the provinces because Black Marsh is overhyped by Argonians and wouldn't make sense by Lore, Elsweyr would be okay but there would something or another that will make you a mane or whatever, and Valenwood seems okay, but again this the one they will make it Skyrim 2.0 with the wild hunt or whatever the Bosmer have.

Hey guys, just a quick reminder to not confuse Bethesda Game Studios with Bethesda Softworks. The former are the devs of TES and FO. The latter are the publishers of all the games we see coming from 'Bethesda'. Wolfenstein and Evil Within have NOTHING to do with the development of TES or FO or the mysterious 'new IPs'. Those games are developed by entirely separate studios.

That said. My cynical and jaded self is telling me that Skyrim may be the last Elder Scrolls game we will ever see. The old paid mods disaster and the new paid mods disaster (Creation Club) is, I believe, an attempt to transform Skyrim and Fallout from games into platforms. The idea is to have other studios and the modding community create content that they can charge for ad infinitum.

Think about it. Bethesda has had a love affair with Minecraft since Skyrim was still in development. Well? There's only one Minecraft. They don't need to release a whole new Minecraft 2, they just add content and updates, and mods. A lot of games are like that. Mostly MMOs. That's what they were hoping to achieve with ESO. Now they're trying to do it with Skyrim and Fallout.

Why on earth would they bother to go to all the trouble of making a new game if they, or better yet--other people--can create new bits of content that they can sell for the games they already have? That's why Pete is trying to 'manage expectations'. He knows they're not going to make another TES, at least not unless they can't nail down this 'charging for mods' business model they're so in love with.

I'm sorry to say that Bethesda has made it abundantly clear that they don't care at all about their fans, in fact, I don't think they even enjoy making games anymore. They're only interested in milking as much money out of us as they can for as long as they can.

I have to agree with you. The way it is now, there is truth in what you said. We can only hope that they are toying with us.

Well said my friend, I also think we have seen the last ESgame, at least in the format we are used to, so what does the future hold? for us very little, an endless stream of Mods we now have to pay for which Bethesda will get for nothing through their creation club, its a big let down for all their fans but again they have shown time and time again they just don't give a shit about.
