A bit of an update. You know, I am liking Immediate Dragons? I haven't killed any yet, but you walking the ice flats, searching for a missing apprentice. You fight some wolves with your bound weapons and trusty atronach and then suddenly you hear that roar and you are in the middle of nowhere. You look at your magicka bar and see that it is nearly at zero. Can I just say, chilling moment, humbling moment. It flew away, but still.
Perks so far at level 10
Conjuration - Novice, Apprentice, Mystic binding
Alteration - Novice, Apprentice, One rank Magic resistance, one rank mage armor
Archery - Overdraw
One-handed - Armsman
Okay, so he does not get -100% regen, which sucks, cause you'd think, based on the description of Witbane and Atronach stone that he would. I'm going to mess around with the order that I do Atronach and Witbane. I did Witbane first last time, so I'm gonna get cured, change my stone briefly to mage, fast travel back to the Atronach stone, take that and then give myself Witbane, see if that has any effect. I'm guessing it won't and that negative regen values have a cap in Skyrim like resistances at 85%. BLAH. Otherwise, I consider looking into a mod to fix his regen. His regen is practically non-existant during combat, which is rather good and it is extremely slow out of it, so there are different values. I don't want to deal with yet another restart to accomodate a mod, so if I put in a mod to deal with his regen, it has to be something that I can install mid game.
Otherwise, I am really enjoying the gameplay. Good balance between being an old fart who needs his babies around him (atronachs) and him finally getting pissed off enough and whacking things with his bound sword, to being smart and planning a full-scale sneak assault on forts with bound bow and atronach. Alteration is a bit of a PITA, but with more perks, it'll be fine. Well worth the passive buffs. He's on his way to Solitude to pick up an enchanted item for Sergius. Having a good time just doing College-related quests. There are quite a few of them, especially radiant ones. He will start the bard's college because I see him collaborating with fellow librarians. lol

Level 22 and ended up using all the level 20 perks, which I never usually do, so that perkspread'll go up soon. He's playing pretty well. Just finished Dead Man's Respite and am enjoying Berserker with a summon. Finished a lot of his art, so will post that sheeeeet up pretty soon. Gonna head to Fellglow Keep tonight and get some books back, cause nobody, NOBODY takes books from a librarian.

So since there are two versions of witbane: one caught from animals and one from traps, do you think it's possible to catch both at the same time?
Edit: Well I now know it's possible to do by adding it via the console, and magicka regen gets really slow with both versions.

Funny when I tried adding both types via console, cause I was totally thinking two different versions, more witbane to go around, I didn't get an active effect with the one given by saber cats; the one starting with 000b8783. The one granted by traps, 0010a250, gave me the effect, the -50% regen. I'll try again when I play him tonight. What commands did you use, by the way? I'm getting pretty slow regen from the Atronach stone too, but slower is always better. I'm running a patched game, you think it's telling my game that one version of Witbane is one version and that's all you get? Or, maybe the game has a cap on it?
Later in the game, I'd love me some brain rot too. HAHA

I just used addspell. The thing with the diseases is that even when you use the console to add them they still go through the dice roll of whether you actually become infected. I think the trap version may be 100% chance all the time but the sabre cat version isn't. So what I did was save and then add the sabre cat version, I then left the console and checked whether I had it and when I did I added the trap version so I had both.

And did you have zero Magicka regen? Me and Lis talked about it and it is possible the negative regeneration is capped at the same value as Magic Resistance Cap, which is around... 80% ? 86%? Don´t remember precisely. Because technicaly, Witbane and Atronach Stone should give you -100% Magicka Regen, yet Lis said she still regenerates.

Well as I said even with both versions my magicka was regening, albeit really slow. So yeah it probably is capped.

Oh man, can't beleive I hadn't dropped a comment in here before. I'm really digging the concept behind the build, especially since your basically focusing on all aspects of Conjuration (and Conjuration is the best), but the general idea of the build is amazing.
I don't really have any questions or comments to drop, other than asking if your going to end up going for Atronach Thralls or not, I honestly haven't seen many builds that have used the Thralls and it could be really interesting.

I disagree, Illusion is the best.
