Pseudo-Lore: The Towers and Tower Stones

It's this line I have issue with:

only several times are 'towers' ever mentioned in the actual game; most notably the reference is found inThe Book of the Dragonborn, though this could easily just be allegory

Vix is dismissing an in-game source - a prophecy from an Elder Scroll no less! - as allegory?

The Towers are from an in-game source and legitimise an out-of-game one. Until another in-game source contradicts that, we can only work on what we think we know. I get what your saying about why he's tagged it as such, but if I were to start a discussion based on the Towers and their implications from The Book of the Dragonborn I would be hesitant to tag it as non-canon.

The Towers aren't real towers for the most part, and any tower sitting around doesn't make it a Tower.

Heck, only three are true Towers. Adamantine, Crystal, and Imperial City. Then we've got two mountains, a mecha, a tree, and who knows what.

Shor, take a minute and read Vix's article while you're here.

The Towers are from an in-game source and legitimise an out-of-game one.

I don't think that's the case here. In-game sources only confirm the naming convention.

You can say that the fact that all these towers are mentioned in one passage implies their connection - I say it's a poetic way to describe events obscurely.

All that said, ESO has this book - Aurbic Enigma 4: The Elden Tree which brings another description of towers

    All of it?

I agree with Tom. It's an interesting theory (sometimes. Most of the time I don't care about it), but I really don't like it.

Sounds like psudo-theological hocus-pocus an Altmer made up in the late merithic era when the shift in their religion was happening.

Awesome find Vaz, well done mate  However it harms your case rather than strengthen it. The references to the Towers not mentioned in The Book of Dragonborn confirms the out-of-game sources.

I do believe this is the first in game source to legitimise Green-Sap. Further proof that the development team are still using the works of the initial inspirations.
