Im looking for a build that I can roleplay a little bit and play on master difficulty Dead is Dead style. I dont want it to be crazy hard because I will be playing Dead is Dead but I want to be able to roleplay a bit. Open to any options all across the board, THX

Hi guys, I'm new to Skyrim having just picked it up on sale from the PS Store. I was looking for a spellsword build, Light or Heavy armour is fine, But I'm not really interested in archery or 2-h weapons, so I'm looking for a 1-h build.

I'm playing as a Breton at the moment, but I'm not so far in that I can't create a new character. the main issues are that as a PS4 player I don't have access to the majority of the more popular mods for the game, like the Obsidian perk Overhaul, so I can't use a lot of the available builds thatI have found interesting so far. Does anybody have some suggestions on what might be a good fit?

The definitive Dead is Dead playthrough, with tonnes of RP potential: The Old Orc by Henson.

It might be a bit difficult to find a recent build that doesn't use mods in some way, so you'd probably be better off looking at some classic builds.

The Sun Priest, by Henson (again), is a Desert priest who uses the magic of light and fire to purge the Undead from Skyrim. More of a tanky, niche Spellsword, but an awesome concept and proper fun.

The polar opposite of the Sun Priest, The Volkihar by Mason is a vampire Spellsword who uses Ice and Time magic to kill anyone in their way.

And lastly for a build that is often overlooked but is personally one of my all-time favourites, The Golem by Oneness. An absolute tank who uses Ice magic with Maces to become the epitome of destruction.

Welcome to the best place for skyrim builds Kap! One place I always start when looking for a playstyle is our Build Hall of Fame. In fact the very first category on that page is Spellsword. All are quite amazing as you might expect. In addition to Zoon's recs (all phenomenal), I'd say one of my favorites is Paul England's Clever Man. Most Spellswords are one handed, but Paul cleverly (see what I did there) throws us a curve with a two handed, Nord mage. Quite a lot of Roleplay, which is my favorite way to play skyrim.

    Enjoy!

Hello friendos! So, I've come to realize that the only major part of Skyrim that I haven't done is the College.... but I hate playing mages. I don't mind spellswords but I'm picky.... I'm wanting a good build to make archmage that makes sense but not a full mage.

Edit: Basically, I want a good mage build for folks who hate playing mages. Also, I'm on PS4, so I can't use mods like Ordinator and such.

Ah damn, I would have recommended you two fun, mostly pure mages, hmm, the Clever Man by Paul England might work or the Nord Warmage by Tom https://www.tamrielvault.com/groups/topic/view/group_id/3/topic_id/4305

Well... Dunno if I shall tut my own horn but if I don't who will ???

I kindly invite you to take a look at my (Oh my god is it old and still crapy edited... sorry) con-artist / greatest mage of Slyrim : Le Magicien

It is basically playing a mage without perking a single magick skill but instead using every single staff, scroll, great and smaller power in the book to do just the same thing.

Also I can recommend the Freelancer & the Charlatan because to be fair they already done that (in slightly different and maybe better ways) before me.

Quite a remarkable build that's fully surrounded by magic, but doesn't even touch it, is Elysium's Squib. If you wanna play a mage without actually casting a spell this is the build for you.

So I recently tried out the Frostfall mod for the first time thanks to the Bosmeri Wildmage build and I’m rather liking it. I also just saw the spotlight on the Pale Ranger and I’m going to give it a try as well. Are there any more good builds that involve Frostfall and Campfire? Ordinator build is preferred but I could probably adapt from vanilla if necessary. Also, what’s the big differences between iNeed and Realistic Needs and Diseases? Which do you all prefer?

Hello all, I haven't gotten around to using the spells such as Whirlwind cloak from the Dragonborn DLC.  So I was just wondering if anyone knows of a build that focuses on that preferably using ordinator but I can adjust if necessary.
