I have a couple of ideas for our next event, I was thinking maybe a survival event (I really think we could get some unique playstyles for that mode explored) or a song based one, by which I mean basically the characters have to be derived from a song in the Fallout series (or maybe other songs from the era). For example, The Wanderer, Mighty Mighty Man, Butcher Pete or more ambiguous ones such as 'He's a Demon'.

Survival has so many different ways to experience it, I personally had a bit of fun with a melee power armor build. Heck I bet none stealth melee without PA is possible on survival in some way.

The next FO CB event is planned but we'll def put that one in the mix for a future option! SMode is def a tough sell for casual players/builders...that's the only downside. But I suppose those of us still playing and building are not exactly casual lol.

    thanks for the input ELY!

Yeah, stick with the plans for the next event - if for no other reason that I've already started on my build. Yes, I realise it is premature (and I've taken advantage of Elder Council access) but I don't get as much time as some, and we're away on holiday for two weeks straight after Easter. So I got started early ;)

I don't think I'd be looking to create in Survival Mode. But I do like the Songs idea! Now, how can I create a 'Bongo, bongo, bongo' build?

Survival Mode is definately a tough sell I agree, I feel the save system is what the cause. There are a few ways around it I guess, mods which allow saving and they did update adding exit saves a while ago. You can also save at beds without sleeping if you press the back button to prevent the sleep, this is helpful for preventing catching diseases.

I believe SM has some great benefits, it can really lengthen a playthrough and adds so much more meaning to the systems in place like crafting and settlement building. I personally find it the best way to experience the world (though I have yet to complete a playthrough). I originally blasted through the game very quickly which I regret now, looking back at my trophies on PSN it's horrendous. The game came out 10/11/2015 and I completed my first playthrough on 15/11/2015 (though at 0.42am so it was practically the 14th). Taking your time with games can be so much better...

Regardless what the next event is, I'm looking forward to it.

I dig the songs idea. It'll happen without a doubt at some point (soon hopefully) but right now we already have the next event planned (prizes included! :D)

I as a member not any higher up so I don't feel any influence but I say do the song one because I can make 2 builds right off the top of my head with the song idea. Just because... I don't want to set the world on fire.
