So, this is how my spell bars look like right now.
My fire staff bar:
...and my Energy Overload bar:
I have yet to take a secondary weapon because I'm waiting for a restoration staff to drop. Still, with two bars I don't feel the need for a third yet. In the fire staff bar I put (from the left to the right) Force Pulse, Crystal Fragments, Mage's Wrath, Velocious Curse, Unstable Clannfear and Energy Overload. My default combo attack is normal staff attack quickly followed by Force Pulse. Also, I always make sure that Velocious Curse is active on foes. As I cast spells, there is a slight chance to gain an instant, cost reduced and improved Crystal Fragments. Every time this occurs I fire the spell. I only get to use Mage's Wrath in dungeons and against world bosses. Once I reach a level 10 reputation with the mages guild I intend to swap mage's wrath for equilibrium. The mages guild skill line provides some nice additional damage enhancing buffs every time equilibrium gets cast. It's going to take some time however... maybe by level 30. This is pretty much the tactic I use against moderate foes. When it comes to tough or multiple npcs, I toggle Energy Overload and hell breaks loose. Really, I destroyed a daedric anchor all by myself because of this spell. Don't know if this op-ness will last though. Anyway, when I toggle the ultimate spell, my other bar comes up: Mage's Wrath, Crystal Fragments, Velocious Curse and Unstable Clannfear. I apply exactly the same tactic as before, only this time, instead of casting Force Pulse, it's Mage's Wrath's turn (because the former requires a staff to cast) and staff attacks become raw lightning bolts. This feels like playing a Sorcerer on steroids... The Unstable Clannfear is an excellent tank and it gives you a very nice active self heal... a real life save, trust me! There's one problem however, you can't become a vampire until later in the game (level 38+). Sure, you could ask someone for a bite, but I like to do it old school. Roleplaying this is a bit challenging but my premise is that she needs to become an undead again because the disease gives her a constant motivator (and more power) to destroy any unholy thing. I have to add one more thing, passives. So far I've perked anything that reduces spell magicka cost, increases damage output... and of course something called Blood Magic which heals me every time I cast Crystal Fragments. That's about it and it is awesome so far!

I have to add that the Fighters Guild is perfect for roleplaying this character. The first Ebonheart Pact major area is also great because all you ultimately do is banish some daedric behemoths known as the Brothers of Strife. Cool stuff, I'm anxious to see what I'll be doing in the second area.

Another great build, Noodles! +1!
One thing though, not a complaint or anything, but I hate it when the Thalmor Gloves is used on female characters. It gives them this weird lump on their wrist.

Thank you, but I'm not the only one who worked on this. Don't forget Teej, Chris Diokno and Bonelord! That lump has always given me the impression of playing a zombie... very fitting for this character, don't you agree?

It's the same with the exception of replacing previous staff bar 3 with Surge. I also gained Harness Magicka and put it in the Energy Overload bar. Last time I played I think I was level 27.
