Why dont you use fortify Destruction potions?

You can certainly use more than the listed potions! I'm sure Mason just wanted to keep the Alchemy list short and sweet with the best multi-effect potions and poisons. I don't think Fortify Destruction potions will amplify the damage of the weapons, so they're of limited use. If you're planning on Incinerating a lot of foes in the near future, though, I'm sure a potion or two will help!

I'm 99% sure destruction pots will improve the damage of weapons using destruction effects.

You're correct. UESP has a list of all weapon enchanting effects, and it includes the school for each one as well. e.g., the Paralyze enchantment's duration will be increased if you drink an Alteration potion prior to hitting the target.

    I have a quick question,

I skimmed through all the pages but didn't see it.  I noticed that the main storyline is recommended in the discussions by Mason.  My question is; If playing as the Dragonborn, which shouts would be recommended?

Become Ethereal is obvious, Fus Ro Dah also.  I assume that Slow Time would also be useful.  In any other suggestions?

A big +1 from me.  Currently at level 5 (I am sitting on several level ups) with 59 Enchanting, visited the entrance to Driftshade, cleared Ironbind, have the Black Star, and joined the College of Winterhold.  I am on my way to grab the Lord Stone and get the necessary souls to get enchanting to 60 for my first set of enchanted weapons and gear.

Mason was right, visiting a few mines and crafting iron daggers while using a merchant bought stamina enchant and a found sneak enchant for armor/jewelry (and soul trapping wolves, foxes, rabbits, and anything else I came across), I easily got the necessary cash to level enchanting.  "Every soul not trapped is a wasted opportunity", this is so true.

Brilliant build and now that I have the basics nearly completed, Its time to really start the playthrough.  Wish me luck!

    Good Luck!

I've played this build and it is one of the best! I had some difficulties until I've maxed out Enchanting. That skill should be rush combining training with crafting. I've skipped skeletal Alchemy for AugFrost 2/2,  beefing up Restoration, and getting Conditioning perk in Heavy Armor, for weightless armor.  Many people like Chaos enchantment on their silver swords.

Absorb Health from Folgunthur is worth even more! I had plenty of spending money thanks to that. Really any shout works great with the Sorcerer! You can already deal tons of damage, so utility shouts might be the most useful. Try Elemental Fury for some insane DPS though. :)

Battlemages are so tricky. I think I will convert my current character to this build. But no stamina and no Conditioning? Not even respite in Restoration? Hmmm. I like running around a lot.

This is a brilliant build extreamly well thought out and the damage per second is almost inhuman> As a new member of the blog I hope you will forgive me asking a bone question> Are any of your weapons smithed or are they just basic silver swords?. RUSSELL
