Their is a mod called druid essentals that might help also in my opinion a druid is a gardian type character  so a druid would be very protective of the forest and probaly would kill poachers on site this is just my opinion though.

Help! If I can get my laptop to work I'm going to try and roll a new Reachman character and I was wondering if people can help me with fleshing out his religion and how he practises it. Basically I have ideas for a few gods that fit based on lore but hopefully people people can throw out some ideas of some gods should be changed or not and how exactly to worship them.

First some backstory: My character is an ancient warrior of the Reach who was the brother of Red Eagle. He became a raider on the Sea of Ghosts and fought many legendary battles against Bretons, Alessians, Seamount Orcs and even sacked Dawnstar one time. Eventually he raided and colonised part of Solstheim and became a chief of a Skaal clan (his descendent Hrothmund the Red founded the Thirsk Skaal). Word of Red Eagles death reached him he traveled back to the Reach and after a series of unfortunate events he got magically sealed away until he was awakened at the time of Skyrim.

So the pantheon I see him worshiping is:

    Hircine – The Stag

As has been established Hircine and his aspects are important deities to all of the Reach.

The Hunter – Alrabeg = Appears as a human hunting mythical animals.

The Manbeast– Storihbeg = A large werewolf, if you see him you are pretty much dead.

The Great Stag - Uricanbeg = A white stag whos hoofbeats signal the Great Hunt.

The Quick Fox – Gulibeg = A tricky fox spirit that casts illusions

The Mighty Bear - Hrokkibeg = A big bear that can be bartered with but if you piss it off you are dead.

    Orkey - The Snake

Since the Reachmen have shared culture with the Nords as well as cultural exchange with Orcs it makes sense that they would worship a form of Orkey. It's confirmed that some Reachmen worship Malacath but I think it's more likely that it would be Orkey. a God blood dept and payment in kind.

    Kyne – The Eagle\Hawk?

Warrior goddess of the storm and life. Again shared heritage with the nords as shown by the shrines to Kyne in their settlements as well a bas relief in Red Eagle's tomb. Since Red Eagle was buried in a tomb dedicated to Kyne maybe the Reachmen see her aspect as an eagle not a hawk?

    Namira – The Crow

Death goddess of decay seen as the opposite of Kyne. It's been confirmed that some Reachmen clans like the Crow-Wives do worship Namira and her cult existing in the reach makes sense beacuse of that. I imagine her as a goddess of death similar to the celtic goddess The Morrigan.

    Mara – The Wolf

    Mother goddess of protection.

    Sheor – The Fox

Trickster god of the afterlife. Not a lot has been mentioned about Shor\Lorkhan in Reachman culture but the Briarhearts are just to similar to him for it not to be some type of symbolism so I went with a midway between the Nordic and Breton interpretation.

Seagod – Shtun the Whale (god of chance) or Herma Mora the Octopus (god of foreknowledge)?

Ok so since my character is\was a seaborn raider I kind of need a water god and the only to culturally appropriate gods are Shtun who is the wale or Herma Mora who fits beacuse of my characters connection to Solstheim. The only problem is in Nordic culture Mora wasn't connected to the sea and was known as the Woodland Man. So what do you think?

    Skaal Influence

    All-Maker – Nature God (Satakal)

I want to add the Skaal influence beacuse I just think it adds another interesting element to the religion and also kind of mirrors the Celtic\Norse cultural sharing by the Scots and Vikings that sparked the build.

    Tree

    Sun

    Water

    Earth

    Wind

    Beast

    Adversary – Nothing God (Sithis)

So should any of the gods be swapped or changed and more importantly what ideas does anybody have of how to actively worship these gods in game?

This is so detailed, I don't know how I could help flesh them out more.

For worshipping them protecting animals from hunters and other predators could be an option, if a bit basic. Or the opposite, sacrificing these animals and bringing their remains to shrines.

Well it's less about fleshing it out and more like how to actively worship these gods in game that I'm after.

    Hello Medieval here,

I'm writing about a new guild, I want to post it because have a lot of content, also have a lot of characters, the idea is to post the guild, the story, the begining of it, his members, the idea is to add links to the characters like roleplaying profiles, showing all about them, his ranks of the guild, his roles, race, backstory, etc. Also would be nice link some artifacts, buildings, settlements, etc.

Can I post it here? Like roleplaying guild?, Please let me know, thanks

How would one roleplay a Shezzarine in Skyrim? I have looked at The Shezzarine, but I'm still stuck on how to roleplay one exactly.

Well, to play Shezzarine you have to understand that you are fragment of the god of Men. So you should oppose Elves as much as possible, picking fights with them and such. Shezzarine is very hard concept to grasp, but I think that every Shezzarine is basicaly his own person, with...urges and memories of distant past. So you basicaly can play it any way you want and I think that the build explained it rather well.

I might be able to help you more if you had specific questions than just "how should I roleplay it".

Makes sense. I've been turning the idea over in my head for a few weeks now.

I guess I'm having trouble because Lorkhan doesn't appear to have a specific form of worship (As far as I know), I suppose that Shor would have much to do with it...

For a more (although not massively) specific question - Is there any specific manner in which Shor is worshipped?

  • March 4, 2016

Shor and Lorkhan are one and the same thing. For Nords Shor seems to be something like...Odin. For Imperials, Shezzar (or Lorkhan) isn´t exactly worshipped, more like aknowledged. He´s dead after all.

I think that your character shouldn´t be exactly about worshipping those two, it should be more about...something pulling you in certain directions. Like an urge to do something, urge that isn´t completely yours. You´re still an individual with your own thoughts, but being fragment of Lorkhan...can be quite messed up.

Oh, trust me I understand that, two versions of the same being.

That makes sense, I'll see what I can do, thank you, Karver.
