Inn Room: Saint Delyn Penthouse

Phil's interest in interior design has inspired me to share what I have managed to scrape together, unfortunately unlike him I only have access to the free inn rooms that you can get. This means that I have a lower item limit and there's also less I can do as I don't have an outside to work with. None of my characters would really settle down long enough to justify having a full size house so this inn room works out nicely, it also works as a hobby for my Vampiric Healer Korysha who will not needing sleep needs something to do over the centuries that I'm sure she'll be alive through.

I didn't really go into this with a central theme in mind, instead I just used whatever I could find or create which resulted in a lot of Dominion styles with a handful of items from the other races.

Here you can see my most treasured in game possession the dye station; which I use to make all my wonderful outfits. The mirror next to the station is Breton and cost me about 3500 gold from a guild trader, since I placed it on my Bosmer I've only just realised that it is a little short for Korysha who is an Altmer. Above the dye station are two Khajiiti banners one depicting the cresent moons and the other the full moons, I can't remember where I got them but it was most likely another guild trader.

In the back corner I have a dresser which I originally placed there as a way to reach the chandelier that I have hanging from the roof, but now it is the home of my many Jester's Coffers which I "earned" during the most recent Jesters Festival. Next to that is the Dominion Hero Shield that some of you may have seen in Phil's latest update, I sure did and immediately went out and got myself one. It took way too long to lean it against the wall like it is without it floating or looking like it could fall over at any moment. I wanted it to look like the character had been awarded the shield but didn't know what to do with it and so just stuck it in the corner with the coffers that they didn't really want.

Here we have the bed that Korysha doesn't need to sleep in but has anyway; I think it's in the Hlaalu style but it has been awhile since I purchased it from one of the many guild traders. The divider and canopy are both bosmer and things that I was able to create, the canopy is supposedly a tent but I don't see it. In this shot you can also see two of my pets, the cat under the bed is the Milady's White Cat which if you read the description is related to Dibella and the source of many bad jokes. On the table to the right is my Sep Adder which has coiled itself around A Light of Meridia which you can get from an achievement vendor in the Hollow City for 10,000 gold. I eventually want to replace that crystal with a Crimson Shard of Moonshadow which gives off a nice red light and I'm sure would be warmer for my Sep Adder. Unfortunately this particular crystal is a rare drop from the daily quests in Morrowind or about 50,000 gold from a guild trader this change will be a ways off.

Here are the final too screenshots I took in which you can see my chandelier which like the bed I believe is Hlaalu and purchased from a guild trader, and hanging over the dining (?) area is my third and final Khajiit banner which depicts a set of claws.

I just gave the place a quick tour, I like its lived-in feel. Spend 10k on an achievement item only to toss it in a corner alongside a painting is a nice touch, a good bit of RP expressed visually. Setting off all the coffers was mildly amusing, and part of me now wants to put one of my own on my shrine. Blasphemous, but funny :D I'd forgotten about the Light of Meridia, may have to pay a visit to the Hollow City in a bit. That said, I think it works very nicey in Saint Delyn's, the ceiling tiles and organic patterns suit the blue light.

Nicely done, I say, although I try not to dwell upon the psychology of having a big snake and milady's kitty occupying the bedroom area :p

I honestly don't know what else I was supposed to do with a 3 metre tall shield, it just seemed appropriate.

When I went in to close them all and turn the lights back on all of the coffers' animations went off at the same time so there's was a bright flash and lots of confetti. It looked quite nice.

That right there is one of the many jokes I mentioned :P

It's nice, small little place that's nice and comfortable. Definitely needs more red 'evil' lights to feel like a proper Vampire Den, but I suppose that nothing is better than that shield which is just...freakishly massive looking :P I can see the need for it obviously, but now I'm just imagining it being an in-game equippable item and a Bosmer running into combat holding a 'three metre tall shield' being more awesome than just about anything ever :D

Nice little tour you got here, Goldie. Love the sep adder coiled around the stone and the kitten stalking it from under the bed. You and Phil have both done an awesome job with your spots. Maybe I'll have to follow suit and give a small tour of my hag fen den. xD

That shield is actually twice the size of my Bosmer. Great now I'm picturing two Bosmer wearing a giant trench coat and carrying that shield and a giant sword.

One of the cat's animations is it getting ready to pounce, so every now and then it looks like its about to attack the snake. Oh please do, lets make this a thing in this group, where we just go around showing everyone how much time and in game money we've wasted :D
