I'm with you there, I can see why ZOS were lazy but also the reasons for Nostalgia and an acceptance of casual players. It wouldn't make sense to the casual players to have Cyrodiil not woodlands anymore. Anyway, the whole CHIM-rewriting history thing seems to check out so it's not that big of a deal. I do think that most of the time ZOS have actually been doing a better job with the established lore than BGS did with Skyrim, tbh.

What are your thoughts on Summerset, though?

To be fair, ESO did add a game book called Subtropical Cyrodiil which put another, perhaps even better, theory to us - that the collective dreams or will of the fecund Alessian Empire caused White Gold to alter the landscape and climate to suit their agricultural needs. In way they gave us yet another interpretation to choose from. As for Summerset, I'll be honest and don't really mind the look. Auridon impressed me with its beauty, despite not being what I expected at the time. Summerset improves upon that visual style. I popped over onto the PTS for a time and it is pretty damned lovely, with scenery porn everywhere you turn.

Yeah, it isn't exactly glass wings, but remember this: it's got to be defensible. Even Morrowind's buildings (crab-huts, towers of mushrooms) were defensible and in a way realistic. Not what to be excpected but not diappointing. Similar I adore the crescent imagery in Khajiit architecture and think their tombs and ruins are wonderfully diverse, but that's the Khajiit in me talking.

Defensible is a good point, especially as we know how they seem to be under threat of either Sload or Maormer attacks at various points throughout history, especially the latter who seem particularly incessive in their offensives during the Second Era. Let your inner Khajiit speak, Wulf :D Khenarthi's Roost is a stunning early zone which wets the appetite for Reaper's March nicely, yes? Just looking at the buildings and colours is fun.

To be honest, looking at Summerset's buildings, it resembles generic high fantasy elf architecture. Meh, in my opinion, but like Paws, I don't mind it too much. I'm only interested in what's in stored for the lore... and Sloads.

Anyways, about the Guild... It's only on NA, right? Man, that's gonna be tough on me since I would probably play on the Asia/Oceania servers once I get ESO.

Oh... those servers don't exist. It's only NA or EU, so as someone in Australia I had to choose between two bad connections myself :D

    *descends from the sky*

As a host of this prestigious ESO group, who found himself quite unfortunately deprived of both time and his Xbox (the latter of which, sadly, I will not have access to for quite a while), I haven't yet had the pleasure of joining this Tamrielic institution. But, I have reinstalled ESO on my computer, and therefore may boldly partake of the fine company and explorational achievements of you Vaulters!

Seriously, throw an invite at me. @LordGamington on the NA server. I don't really have... anyone, yet (this was actually an unused account I let a former friend have, so I currently only got a factory new Covenant StamSorc Redguard). And I don't have any DLCs or ESO Plus on PC, yet. Still, I'd love to chat with you guys while I quest, and eventually go dungeoneering!

Good day all, there hasn’t been much uptick on here lately, and I was wondering how everyone was doing? After months of play testing, I have finally picked a few class/race selections that I am moving forward with. I hope to see you all in game, and let the rest of us know what’s been going on with you!

Hey Kings, yeah I must admit I've been pretty quiet the last few days - blame Summerset for that :D

So what's your character? A Nord Warden, right? What's the concept, and what about it resonates with you? :)

The guild is doing well, nice and full of helpful stuff anyone can take, and we should be having Delta and Wulf joining us soon, too. All looks good.
