Tenebrous Cribs: Mournoth Keep

Hallo folks! So, inspired by Paws' Homestead Project, I decided to try my hand at Tamrielic interior design myself. I chose the medium-sized Orc house, Mournoth Keep, which I bought decorated. However, this is only so that I have all that lovely furniture; I do plan on redoing the whole home into something unique to me.

The loading screen for Orc homes. Inspiring!

So, my first order of business was simple; taking the banners from the entrance, and putting them on the outside of the building. This looks pretty nifty, and it fits the whole Orc shtick.

Blood and glory, man. Blood and glory.

Apart from this, I began work on a sort of formal "dining room" inspired by the loading screen. At the moment, it's two tables stuck together (cheaper than one long table, actually!) with a few chairs. This includes a Daedric throne, which is both cheaper (somehow) and cooler than the actual Orc thrones. And my Orc is the kind of gal that doesn't mind her thrones to have skulls.

Perfect for family dinners. Or whatever the Orc equivalent of that is.

I'll continue to work on this in my spare time, so you can look forward to that. For now, thanks for reading!

A note on furniture: Since my chars are still low-leveled (I tend to level slowly), I purchase most of my stuff from Guild Traders or, more rarely, the Crown catalogue.

Looking great, a throne at the table to eat like a boss! Loading screen art is definitely inspirational. This is for the PC version, right?

Yeppers. I figure I should work on PC, since I have easier access to it (thank goodness for laptops!). As for the throne, yeah, it's great, what with the Daedric skull design. Actually, speaking of Daedric, the newest Crown Crate season (the Flame Atronach one) has a sweet Malacath statue I plan on getting for the garden. Nothing screams "Orsimer" like an outdoor shrine to the Orc-Father!

The statue would look great, a must have for your castle. A couple of Orcish braziers either side to light it up, maybe. I'm after the achievement furnisher in Vivec City's staue of Vivec. It has glowing hands and a halo of Vivec's Fire. 150k.... Progress is slow.

So, continuing to spend all my hard-earned gold invest in furnishings for the Keep, my first order of business was sprucing up the dining room with a painting and some lighting (thank Malacath for chandeliers!)

Perfect for some nice mutton. Or something.

Then, I moved upstairs, where I made a nice study for whatever scholarly pursuits my Orc wishes to follow. Hey, she's not all savage.

A nice place to write lewd fun stories and tales!

Afterwards, the next stop was the bedroom. Didn't change this area too much, but I did add a nifty Orcish mirror (gotta have my Orc looking her best), another Winter painting, and one of the pets I have sitting in my NA account. Because nothing says "bragging rights" like a Dwarven Sphere on your nighttime table!

    Hnng, that's a comfy-looking bed, though...

Also, I added Sandy the Alik'r Dune Hound, who usually follows my Orc around.

    Aww, pupper. :3

Finally, I started work on an outdoor sitting area! As long as it's not raining, it's a pleasant little area for discussing stuff and drinking beer.

That's all for this post! Thanks for reading.

The paintings add a nice splash of colour to the dark rooms of Chateau Savage, which is a title best said in your finest French. I like the little study and outdoor area. Also, not a proper Orc unless spending far too much time admiring your tusks.

"Chateau Savage" sounds like an evil lair of some criminal mastermind. I dig it! And yeah, I do imagine my Orc lass would be distracted by her tusks when glancing at the mirror. :P
