New question for you all. Do two handed swords have longer reach than 2handed axes and maces?

I'm fairly sure all weapons of the same type have the same reach.

Okay, a question about vampirism:  specifically, is it worth trying to see if I can get someone to take me to the area where the altar and vampire spawn points at lower levels?  I've understood that the vampirism quest is minimum level 38, and so unless you're extremely good at kiting, it's just not worth making the effort.  If nothing else, it's pertinent for a variation of one of Deltia's builds that I'm trying out (doing the Specter, except I'm playing a Dunmer so as to try and help mitigate some of the fire damage vulnerability I know I'll have to contend with).

I've never done the vampirism quest myself, but if you're patient I've heard of people doing it as low as level 9.

I'd probably wait until at least 20-30 depending on how powerful you think your character is solo though.

Like Ponty the lowest I've ever heard of anyone doing it is around level 10. I personally did it at 20. In the Daggerfall Covenant you can practically walk there all by yourself by sticking to the main path and not have to fight a thing. When you do the quest they give you all of the vampire active abilities and they aren't too helpful for what you'll be fighting. I didn't realize at first that I could switch them to my normal abilities lol. After switching them it wasn't difficult at all honestly. So I could definitely see an even lower level character go through it with some patience and smarts.

I did it at Level 14 and had no trouble with my Sorcerer

    For a Nighblade? Medium

    For a tank? Heavy?

For both? A mix of both and a shield.

any proportion of the seven being which(some require a full set(5) of armor to use passives)

Depends on what you want. Tanks need more health and Nighblades rely on Stamina to fuel their attacks.
