You simply need to be hit by them

    Hello again, all!

Thus far, playing a Breton Nightblade has been interesting.  At Teccam's suggestion, I looked at the Umbra Nightblade build by Deltia, and it's been rather interesting thus far.  I've died... twice, all told, and currently at lvl 9 -- I would probably be a bit higher level than that by now, I imagine, but I got sidetracked by Destiny's Iron Banner this past week, so it's kept me at bay.

Recently, however, I came upon mention of a Daedric Master build for Sorcerer -- a Sorcerer tank making extensive use of Daedric Summoning with One-Handed & Shield and Restoration Staff as the two weapons of choice, as well as making use of Daedric summons to further bolster effectiveness.  The only problem is, what little I've found thus far seems focused solely on Veteran Ranks and the like -- I can find nothing so far for the actual leveling up (like Magicka/Health/Stamina distribution, mainly -- they have the skills needed for both bars, at least).  So, I was wondering if anyone had tried playing this (or even heard of it before).

The only advice I can give you is to play that build for yourself and tailor the health magicka and stamina to your liking. ESO has one major advantage over skyrim. You can reset your stats and skills very easily whenever you want for a small fee. So just go for it and don't be afraid to make mistakes. Btw are you playing this on the ps4? If so why not join my guild?

XBox One, sadly.  There's not so much available there, guild-wise (aside from the ones I've seen advertised in the Guild Registry, but at the moment I've yet to try and express interest in any of them).

I admit, I'm glad ESO can let you "reset" things like that -- I'm thinking an even split between Magicka and Health, or maybe 2 Magicka/1 Health, and see where that takes me.

    Here I go again...

I've been frequenting the Battlemaster's Corner the last few days, looking at the various builds they've highlighted since ESO came out.  Several of them seem interesting...

...but... (oh come on, you knew there was a but coming)

I confess, when it comes to Elder Scrolls, Skyrim is my first love -- mostly because I haven't taken the opportunity to get neither Morrowind (which I honestly do not recall offhand if it was released for the 360) nor Oblivion (which I really should get, I know).  And, admittedly, I have always loved the Character Build Archives (enough to have attempted the Crossworlds Event several months back, and there's still a "Snow Elf" build lurking in the background that needs to be worked on as well).

Digression aside -- there's actually a Skyrim build that I really want to try and convert over for ESO.:  namely, Panthera's The Lion.  So Khajiit is a given (even though it means I have to be a good little Aldmeri Dominion loyalist, and I hated the AD in Skyrim).  The question I have now is... Dragon Knight or Templar?

I confess, I'm leaning towards Templar, since it seems to have more of The Lion's flavor, if you will, than Dragon Knight does (though I imagine Dragon Knight could also really do the trick quite well).  So, I'm curious for thoughts about which class may be the better fit.

Also:  can anyone recommend a good ESO build calculator site?  There seems to be several out there, and I'm not sure which one to try first.

The Lion just screams Templar to me. If your goal is to stay true to that build, then a stamina Khajiit Templar with Sword/Shield and Bow would be your perfect. Outside of those a little dabbling in the Fighter's Guild skills and crafting skills will lead to a fairly good reflection. You probably already thought of all that though lol. I like the idea. It will be pretty solid. If you need any more help with it I'm all ears!

The moment I started looking more closely at skills, it screamed Templar to me as well.  And I was already planning on Fighter's Guild, as well as Blacksmithing and Enchanting (maybe some Clothier as well, because right now I'm thinking 5 Heavy/2 Medium for armor).  I'm thinking Warrior or Lord for Mundus Stone -- not entirely sure if the Champion stuff is part of ESO-TU or not, but I imagine I'll find out sooner or later.

That said... Ja'slan-do (I had to find a way to use Aslan as a name in there somewhere, while staying true to Khajiit naming conventions and lore as best as I could) is currently level 6 (not too shabby for about 4 hours of gameplay), with points into all the Templar class skills, as well as One Hand/Shield and Bow.  I'm at Khenarthi's Roost, done a couple of side-quests as well as following the basic storyline thus far, and already nabbed all the Skyshards for a couple of extra skill points.  And I did my best to make him look like a lion, too.  I must say, so far I think I'm actually enjoying this better than Tzile Motierre (my Breton Umbra Nightblade build).

What would you suggest for attributes?  I was thinking of keeping things even early on (at least get to 5 in each attribute), but then focus on Health and Stamina.  Sounds like perhaps I should take Health to 10, leave Magicka at 5 once I get there, and go Stamina the rest of the way?  I'm currently 2 Magicka / 2 Health / 1 Stamina at the moment, with every intention of my next attribute point going into Stamina.
