Greetings, adventurers. This is the roleplay profile for my character build the Rogue of Wind . What is written here is my personal character which was created to become the Rogue of Wind. If there is anyone that would like to try the build you don't have to stick to this, you should choose a character that you feel comfortable with while playing him.

    Favorite Colour: Black, White

    Appearance

Tattoos / Scars: He has a big tribal tattoo covering his back and coming in front of his chest and arms given to him by his Master's wife; she was also his instructor in archery. No scars, his alchemy and strong body heal almost anything.

    Abilities

Special Abilities / Skills: Revus has an exceptional control over magicka. He is highly resistant to magic, harmful conditions and he also has the ability to absorb spells. Being Dragonborn he can use the power of the Voice and of course he is a supreme wind mage.

Weapons: Apart from his magic he is a bow and dagger user. His favourite weapon is the Bound Bow and for melee he is either using a self enchanted dagger or a summoned Bound Dagger.

     Personality

Revus since a very young age was an introverted, intelligent, well mannered and calm child. From the moment he was able to read he spent most of his time reading. If not reading he would hear to the stories from the merchants/mercenaries that belonged to his father's merchant group or learn archery with some toy bows.

After he grew up a bit he became more outgoing and he also developed a good sense of humor even though it could be vulgar sometimes he couldn't help it growing up in this kind of environment. The incident with his parent's enemy affected him deeply. After that he thought about many things and about himself and he came to realize how naive he was and that in this world "Might reigns supreme". If you are strong enough to overcome any danger coming your way then you will be able to keep yourself and those around you safe. Since then he became a decisive individual that would go to any lengths in order to train his body and mind and make himself stronger. He decided that his way in life would be to strengthen and improve himself in all aspects till his last breath. Also he knows that he can not rid the world from those who wish to harm innocent people but he would at least remove any such element he came across without a shred of mercy or hesitation.

Now that he has grown up a bit more he is a handsome and highly intelligent young elven man who always has a serious look on his face and a purpose in his mind but he still has kept his playfulness and his partially vulgar humor which is quite comical if one thinks the kind of impression he gives with his domineering pressence.

    Backstory

Revus's parents were both Altmer from the Summerset Isles. His father always had a scholarly air about him and not many could match his mastery of destruction magic and enchanting. From what Revus's mother told him his father was of high social standing back in the Summerset Isles but he left it all behind in order to be with her, experiense the world and chase a life of adventure. His mother was proficient in alteration and the sword. After a few years of adventuring and training she became a respected blade mistress and there were quite a few people who knew of her talent with the blade in High Rock and Hammerfell; Revus was sure that his mother was much stronger than his father.

After leaving the Summerset Isles they were adventuring and at some point they made a merceneray group which was active in the areas of High Rock and Hammerfell taking all sorts of missions like bounties, killing undead, necromancers, bandits etc and made quite a name for themselves. Even local lords and nobility of High Rock would often ask for their services.

After Revus came into their life they decided to disband the mercenary group and take up trading. Many of the group decided to stick with them since they had created a strong bond during all these years of battles and adventuring while others went their way. With all the people and connections they had made through these years it wouldn't be hard to be successful and that was the case indeed. His father proved to be a shrewd trader and diplomat and he even managed to get titles of nobility in High Rock.

Since he can remember Revus grew up with his parents and that rough group of "merchants" travelling often between High Rock, Hammerfell and Cyrodiil. Since a young age he was a prodigy and he was fascinated by magic. He learned all sorts of things from his parents and the other mercenaries. He was happy to have fun everyday, travelling, learning about magic and hearing stories from his parent's days of adventure but this peacefull lifestyle didn't last for a long time.

During one of their travels to Cyrodiil they were ambushed in the way by an old enemy of his parent's. A dreadful vampire lord and his company of vampires and necromancers. A bitter battle ensued, most of the people present died and then they were raised as undead. In a desperate situation his parents enclosed Revus and a few guards inside a barrier giving the order that when they created an opening through the endless stream of undead they had to escape no matter what. The anger and rage he felt that day not only against his enemy but also against himself were carved deep inside him; even though his parents might die at any moment in front of him he could only watch and do nothing in his powerlessness. Even though they fought in a frenzied manner they were unable to create an openning and they were getting overwhelmed by the undead. When they were at their last breath and about to fall something unexpected happened. It was like time started to flow slowly and something like a hole appeared in the air. Out of it suddenly came a flamboyant tall dark elf. Even though the effect with the strange flow of time went away nothing moved, there was a strange force opressing everything in the area. This Dunmer looked around and after a few moments he made a "Hmph" sound but when he made it this small sound travelled everywhere and dozens of undead were torn to pieces instantly. Then he exploded in a fit of anger "Filth! Making me come all the way here, you should have stayed in your dirty holes worm lovers! Begone! Burn!" and as he continued he was hurling all kinds of insults while blowing undead with strong wind attacks all over the place and then burning them to a crisp. After a few moments nothing remained, the vampires and necromancers even the vampire lord were all annihilated.

The dark elf then turned towards Revus's parents and said "Foolish brats look at you that 's what you get when you slack off in your training you can not even take care a pitiful bunch of undead!".

Ah, Master Valfar is always so strict; thank you for saving us. Master please take care of our son we, don't have much time left this is the last thing we ask of you, please!" These were Revus's parents last words before succumbing to their injuries, or so they thought.

"Shameless, you foolish brats! You want to go ahead and die and let me babysit another brat? Do you know how hard it is to take care two great women - my dear wife and my beloved daughter and now I will also have to babysit your smelly brat? Hmph, as if this great Master will allow such a thing, let me show you what this Lord Wizard is capable off! Hehehe I always wanted to try these great Ayleid techniques maybe I should thank those brats later". After saying these Valfar enclosed himself and Revus's parents in a white barrier.

All the things that happened after Valfar's appearence only took a few minutes, Revus was looking flabbergested and was trying to wrap his head around at what just had happened. After he calmed down himself Revus knew that this dunmer was an ally and waited patiently for the dark elf to come out of his barrier in order to learn about his parent's condition. Even though it took many hours finally the barier went down and the dark elf came out while his parents were lying down next to each other. Revus went close to him and asked about his parents.

    - Valfar: I don't need your thanks and all that brat, also regarding your parents I managed to keep them alive their bodies will heal easily but their souls have suffered injuries from that filth's foul magic. For such injuries it will take years maybe two decades or even three in order to heal. I can't tell for sure but the important part is that with my techniques they will make a recovery at some point. In the meantime let's see what should be done with you brat?

Anyways let me introduce myself I am Master Valfar Telvanni a supreme Lord Wizard of the great House Telvanni as of today I 'll have to babysit and teach you a thing or two since your parents asked me to. Ahh, I 'm such a benevolent soul this might be my only weakness. From now on you will come to live with me and my family. I heard you might be somewhat talented if that is the case I might even make you my disciple haha yes that would be convenient, last time I met this old hag she was bragging all the time about her great apprentice I need to make sure I have one next time and he also needs to be a great one; yes that 's how it should be! Haha stinky brat prepare yourself if this great Master decides to take you as an apprentice you should concider it a blessing and thank the gods every day hahaha.

After these events Revus ended up following this weird Master Valfar and despite their constant bickering they created a strong bond of Master and disciple. He also lived together with his Master's family which consisted of his Master of course, his wife Caliwen and his daughter Eldess. His wife was a cheerfull and pretty Bosmer lady who treated Revus like her son and his daughter was at first a shy girl that ended up over the years becoming overly attached and overly protective when it came to Revus. The thing is that Revus couldn't do much to shake her off of him as she became quite overbearing but truth be told Revus didn't mind receiving her slightly obsessive attention to some extent. When she got mad it was like the Red Mountain was errupting all over again, she was almost as scary as the old monster Valfar or maybe more. What little did Revus know though that the scariest monster among this odd family was the cheerfull Bosmer wife who was always taking care of them with a smile on her face, Caliwen. The first thing he thought was in what kind of monsters did his parents entrusted him to but as time went on he really thought of them as family and he was happy he got to meet them.

This is the first roleplay profile I 'm posting and I hope it was done correctly.

I would like to thank the creators of these two profiles. I used these two for reference on how to format my own roleplay profile.

    Links: Profile 1 , Profile 2 .

Also kudos to Potemus for his great Naming Encyclopedia project the names for the Rogue of Wind and the other characters were created using them.

    Happy adventures!

I really like the idea of tying in the profile with the build. Great work. And glad you enjoyed Zulfiqar.  He was a fun collab with Spotted Fawn and Ronny Phelange.

Thanks Lissette! Yes I also liked the idea of tying a roleplay profile with my build and I think this is what I will do for any future builds I make. Zulfiqar is a very interesting character profile to say the least!

Sorry, Duvain, couldn't log in earlier so I've only just been able to comment on this.

First off, this is great! A perfect example of a profile in terms of detail and content, and I really like the backstory as well. It's nice to see the classic (if slightly cliche) parents get killed story twisted up a bit, keeps it interesting and unexpected while still being a solid story base.

    No worries, thanks Zonnonn!

Actually I always liked to twist cliches or put a comical element in such scenarios (Master Valfar's character in this case and the way he carries himself around :P). You almost have the parents dying valiantly while protecting their son and then the son will go on to challenge the world become a hero and kill all the baddies but suddenly master Valfar appears to kick some ass, heal the parents and end all the tesnsion in a minute :P. Even though it was done sloppily I think this element is there somewhere.

Of course, how could I forget Valfar! You made me laugh out loud with his quirky but slightly terrifying persona, which I count as a win, it's not often that a profile or build makes me laugh so it was very much appreciated.

I wouldn't worry about it being 'sloppy'. I thought it was fine, but RP is more about the ideas behind the stories than the stories themselves, so thats what matters.

Nice to hear that! Quirky old master type of characters like Valfar here for example were always my favorite in stories.

Yes RP is indeed more about the ideas. I 'll see if I can come up with something good for my next build and character. I started the build at the workshop and the character is going to be an undead skeleton archer I really like the theme so I hope I 'll be able to write something good for this one.

I love this backstory. Anything anti-cliche instantly earns my respect, lol.

Thanks Rogue, glad you like it!

Yeah I 'm also a fun of such stories and most of the stories you 'll see from me in the future will have that kind of vibe going on :P.

There really isn't anything I can say that hasn't, but I do love how this ties in with your build, something I meant to do but got lazy and never did it. Also, it is very well written, which a plus for me.
