Better Combat-Backstabs

Although it's only a small trick, it can spice up your thief's/assassin's gameplay quite nicely.

What it does: It's an in-combat move that allows you to confuse your enemy & stab him with a one- or two-handed weapon in the back while looking cool.

What you need: Some skill/practice, the Critical Charge or Great Chritical Charge perk and Lvl 100 in sneak, which grants you access to the Shadow Warrior perk, aswell as to Silent Roll. An alternative spell to Shadow Warrior is the Shadow Stone power, usable multiple times in a row with the Aetherial Crown. The Invisibility spell from the illusion school of magic doesn't work as well (depends on how good you're at it).

How it works: - While facing your opponent, crouch (which will activate Shadow Warrior, basically a short invisibility spell. Alternatively, activate the Shadow Stone/Invisibility).
    - Now immediatly silent-roll around your enemy while keeping a bit of distance to avoid detection.
    - Midst the animation of Silent Roll, use (Great) Critical Charge while turning around as fast as you can (you can adjust the camera speed in the settings).
    - By the time you're turning around, you'll be behind the enemy so aim at his/her back and unleash a devastating critical strike that will also cause stagger/backstab perks and effects like the Bloodskal Blade's energy beam to activate.

    Things to know:
    - You can do this trick as often as you wish, the enemy will always fall to it.
    - Crouching with the Shadow Warrior perk will also make everyone else around stop moving and searching you, so use it whenever you have to get out of a bad situation.
    - The damage of one-handed weapons can be augmented by the Backstab and Assassins's Blade (dagger only) perks and also by the shrouded gloves.
    - Powerlvling Sneak to lvl 100 early on with Harvor/Ralof brings you to ~ lvl 18-19.
    - A necromage/vampire (with the glitch working) has a 50% longer duration on Shadow Warrior/Invisibility spells.
    - Spell Absorbtion (with the glitch working) can absorb the invisibility effect of Shadow Warrior (non-upatch).

Check the attachment for an idea of how it should look like.

I had used this trick while running towards the enemy back in the days, was trying to simulate rolling under the enemy blade. I did not use Critical Charge though. If executed properly this will give you enough time to turn around and stab the enemy.

Evading the enemy's blade, that's exactly what it does. Shadow Warrior/invisibility just makes sure you interupt his attack and allows you to get the sneak multiplier.

Nice find Relycs. I did some searching and found a video demonstrating what you've posted.

    Here it is.

That's not exactly what my trick does (the one in the vid only works with daggers that are strong enough to one-hit guards, key is the animation, I think).
It's rather that you're rolling/running a half-circle around the enemy, followed by a backstab, which works with all weapon types (except bows).

I just decided to make this a weekly thing, where I explain at least one tip, trick or something else that I found out during the time in between.
Ideas for everyone :D. Skyrim isn't old, you guys are just too lazy to check if there's something left to explore.
