I'm thinking of redoing this with power point instead of word, since having upgraded to a new computer the version of Word that it has no longer allows me to do this sort of thing (or really just makes it a hell of a lot more difficult )

I've never been able to do it with Word. It's pretty much the exact same thing with PowerPoint though so it's probably not that big of a deal. I do admit that PowerPoint makes it easier to alter the pictures a little bit from what I've seen. The Format Picture section seems much cleaner and just better with PowerPoint.

Well the pictures would be different, and the version of Powerpoint I have doesn't have the subscript and superscript buttons so I have to use the shortcut. Also there isn't the need to change the text wrap of the images.

At the very least I'll probably make some changes (mainly with the subscript/superscript)

Fair enough, I always kind of forgot about the text wrap but yeah go ahead and make the change I say, though perhaps just making a separate tutorial for PowerPoint would be more useful, helping more people out with more options. I don't know, just a suggestion.

As you've said it's pretty similar for both programs, so maybe just a note at the top that it can be translated over then? Really the idea to change it over to powerpoint is more to do with Word 2013 not letting me manipulate the placement of images or text boxes all that much (they've set up borders on the page where they can't overlap or be placed so it makes putting it all together almost impossible).

The text wrap is a bigger problem for the equipment spreads so I'll definitely be changing the tutorial for that.

Well I mentioned sometime last month that I would maybe be updating this for use with PowerPoint, and since I'm lazy it's taken about a month to do so but it's here anyway .

As I've said I'm lazy so a lot of the text is mostly the same with changes made where it mentioned using word or other things that needed changing, so if I happened to miss anything please let me know so that I can correct it. It also has like half the number of steps/images that the last one had due to some steps not being needed at all anymore.

Ah the struggles of the technologically deprived  I actually have GIMP and even having read the tutorial that Billy did I still have no idea how to use it for perk spreads

Oh yeah I still haven't updated the one for Equipment Spreads and that's the one that needed it more.
