A nice read Paul. I enjoyed the story and the 'lesson' lerned. The type setting really suits the page as well, something I have yet to achieve...

On a down side though, forgive me for saying... The words are somewhat blury. I can see some readers having a bit of a struggle with it.

It's all very well members offering problems to writers but what about solutions?

Well, the first thing I suggest is that it seems to be a single image rather than two. Having the two single images allows them to be more 'in focus'. (Technical term avoids me).

If you can, I strongly recomend having the two book images as seperate images.

Once again, I really enjoyed reading this. Another thing which I have to comment on is howl well you caught the Khajiit language. That's another one of my weak points.

Hey sugartail, this is great stuff :D Another one that wouldn't make anyone raise an eyebrow to read in-game. Also, it's nice to know you've found a creative means to aid the beginner's guide project. Will those be in third-person narration from Sand-daro's pov? Breaking the fourth wall in a clever way is always entertaining :)

Thanks Sotek, I've made it into two separate images and re-uploaded. It looks better to my aged eyes, but its still not as pin-sharp as on the screen on my laptop for some reason. It's a 300dpi PNG image, not stretched or re-sized in any way, so I'm not sure what I can do to improve it further.

As for the type, if I may offer a little information? I discovered via someone who datamined ESO and posted on Reddit that the typeface is called Prose Antique. It's freely available on the web, so it was a simple matter to download and install. The background is an actual image of an in-game book that I found via Google - I just used Photoshop to remove the little bit of text that was in the top left and fill with 'content aware'.

    Ermmm something else I noticed.....

This should be posted as a blog and not a discussion.

Forgive me Hircine but I can't help it.

Hello Paul. While it's great that you have chosen to post work in TSC, I have to point out that this should be posted in the Blog section and not a discussion. I'm afraid I will have to ask that you repost this in the blogs section which can be found here.

    Blogs

Now, once you have transferred your discussion into the Blogs section, can you leave a comment here for me? Then, when I know your piece has been transferred across, I will delete this discussion. I will ask that you don't delete it yourself because I want to make sure your work has been transferred. (I don't want you loosing your hard work).

We are already friends on TV so if you have any questions then please don't hessitate to ask either in the various TSC discussions or via PM.

It won't all be in POV, Phil - I think it would wear thin after a while. But there will be regular 'indents' in San-darao's 'voice' that will be act as 'tips and tricks'.

That looks better Paul. There's something else we can do to improve the image once you've reposted.... (Oh Hircine am I going to get bitten for this).

When it's in the blog section we'll have a go at removing the black border from the books. this is easy to do and it won't take long.

Sotek loyal Hound of Paul.... (Yes I'm creeping)

    Edit:

Damn this works computer. I don't have it nor can I download at work.......

I will have to make a note of the font for when I am at home.....
