Greetings everypony, to my build for the latest Flash Event, A Single Perk! As I’ve recently returned to the PCMasterRace, I’ve played this build both on Skyrim Special Edition via PS4 to emulate my perk of choice, that being Rallying Standard, but also now with legit Ordinator. With that, welcome to…

    Rising Legion

The Standard-Bearer, not the most glorious position in the Legion, especially since you’re as prime a target for the enemy as your commander, but at the very least you act as a morale booster for the others. I served as one till I retired shortly after the Great War, settled down in Skingrad, making my keep as a smith and part-time mercenary.

That was before Ulfric, good but stubborn man he is, declared a war of secession from the Empire, and now my old friend Tullius sends a missive asking if I can take up the vexillum once more. Damn him, but I owe that man too much. I’ll head out to the border camp in the Jerall Mountains tomorrow morning…

Ordinator-Perks of Skyrim-The cruxcis of both this build, and the Event it was made for. What this amazing overhaul does is adds in new perks to all the perk trees, but also completely overhauls the trees.

Imperious-Races of Skyrim-A similar mod from I believe the same mod author. This nifty little overhaul not only adds more boosts to the various races, but also adds in a fair few new racials.

Andromeda-Standing Stones of Skyrim-This mod, also by the authors of the previous two mods, amps up the Standing Stones by adding in new abilities to these ancient stoney slabs.

Perfect Legionnaire-Imperial Armor Reforged-A sweet little upgrade to the arms and armor of the Imperial Legion, with quite the pleasing aesthetic.

    Build Overview

Race: Imperial. Not only does it fit the backstory and lore, but Imperious - Skyrim grants a few choice boosts, though one of the major ones for this build will be the Discipline effect, wherein nearby allied NPCs gain bonus armor rating and buffed damage.

Inspiration: Warden’s Stalwart Banner (For Honor) and Dragonknight Standard (ESO)

Standing Stone: The Warrior or Mage to start with, the Mage granting power of the Arcane: Spells are 10% more effective. Scrolls are 20% more effective. Mage's Path: Learn two Mage skills of your choice 20% faster. Sleep to change your choice. The Warrior has a similar Path ability, but in regards to combat skills, as well as the Fierce Spirit power: Power attacks do 15% more damage, and ranged weapons do up to 15% more damage based on distance. Once you’re nearing end game, switch to The Lord, which grants Crown of Autumn: Stamina does not regenerate in combat, but power attacks deal 20% more damage and stagger and Old Stone: The Lord graciously allows you to power attack when out of Stamina, dealing 30% less damage and stagger. Alongside that, it has the unlockable power: Kneel or Be Knelt: 1/day - Throws targets to the ground, dealing 15 magic damage and absorbing that much Stamina for 10 seconds.

Stat Spread: 3/1/1 in Magicka, Health, and Stamina. Health with cap at 170, Stamina at 170 as well, representing how, while this character has kept relatively fit over the decades since the end of the Great War, he’s still about thirty-ish years past his prime. The rest will be put into Magicka, primarily for healing and Courage spells.

Primary Skills: Illusion, Heavy Armor, Restoration

    Secondary Skills: One-Handed, Enchanting

    Skills

Heavy Armor - The sole defense skill of the build, and the origin of the Rallying Standard perk.

(Heavy Armor Master 2/2, Heavy Armor Fit, Rallying Standard, Warbringer, Doombringer, , Face of Death, Lead the Tempest, Never Kneel)

Enchanting - Used to improve your own gear, but also to bestow positive effects on your allies*.

(Enchanting Mastery 2/2, Thunderstruck, Spellscribe, Preserver, Might and Magic, Attunement

*Note, companions will only be affected by these specific Enchantments: Fortify Health, Fortify Heavy Armor, Fortify Light Armor, Fortify Magicka, Fortify Stamina, Fortify Unarmed, Muffle, Resist Fire, Resist Frost, Resist Magic, Resist Poison, Resist Shock, Waterbreathing

Illusion - Used in both Vanilla and Ordinator for Courage spells

(Illusion Master 2/2, Illusion Dual Casting, Commanding Presence, Crown of the False King)

Restoration - Used for healing oneself, alongside allies.

(Restoration Mastery 2/2, Restoration Dual-Casting, Respite, Edgewalker)

One-Handed - Come on, what Legionary wouldn't be trained to wield a blade?

    (One-Handed Mastery 2/2, Disciplined Fighter)

    Gameplay

So, the crux of this build, which I started shortly before I got my new laptop (Yay!), as the ability from the Heavy Armor tree known as Rallying Standard. If you've played the wonderful game For Honor, then those of you who've use the Warden’s Stalwart Banner ability, the Rallying Standard perk and some of the additional perks like Warbringer produce a similar effect, summoning a banner (which you can choose what symbol, if any, appears on the flag), that buffs you and any friendly NPCs. Warbringer syncs well with it's parent perk via summoning the Standard whenever you raise your hands, like for casting a spell for instance.

This build, as you can see from the skills, lacks any perked ranged skills. To that end, alongside any found Destruction staves, more often than not, ranged damage will be done via Shouts and buffed followers.

So yes, most of your time, until your enemies get into Imperial Sword range, your primary role will be that of a support, healing and buffing your allies with Courage spells, Rallying Standard, Bardic Knowledge, Battle Fury, etc. When they do get close, it's a simple hack and slash. Try and command your followers to go after Archers and Mages, and focus your blade primarily on big Two-Handed motherfuckers and light armored warriors.

Follower wise, I stuck with either Vorstag, for his good One-Handed and Block skillset, kitting him out in Imperial gear, or Mercurio, cause he's a pretty decent magus. If you got Dragonborn, Teldryn Sero’s a good replacement.

    Equipment

    Roleplay

    • Never intentionally kill a brother/sister Legionary.

    • Chop firewood/cook foods and deliver it to Imperial camps

    • Wash your armor and weapon by dropping them in water, then setting it on land to dry.

    • Never murder innocent civilians

    • Pray at whatever Divine Temple/shrine you find yourself by once per day.

Hey Chris, jsut before I drop a comment (and port it over), I thought I'd remind you that tags don't need the hashtag or quotation marks, the former are automatic so it's just literally what you see in the archives.

Righty, right, I'm all done with the conversion here Chris. I had to replace a few of the images because they were just too blurry, but  it's all good now :D Uh...Hmm, yeah I don't have much to say Chris, there's nothing hugely negative about it, I would consider the idea of changing the Race/Standing Stone sections so that they're set out a bit better in regards to showcasing what the mods do, but it's just a fine build all up honestly. Yeah, don't have much to say, sorry man.
