Flash Event 3: A Single Perk

We've doubled down on deities, we've risen up from humble beginnings and after a month long break, we're back with Character Building Flash Event *fireworks*

For those that don't know what a Flash Event is, basically it's a two week long even where builders (that's you hopefully) have to post a Level 20 or lower mini-build based on a certian theme. They're generally a bit more restrictive than the larger month (+) events but still broad enough to give you a little bit of wiggle room in creating a fun and interesting character. This week's theme is a bit stranger than the other two, because I wanted to do something that focused on Ordinator.

If you haven't heard of Ordinator, it's one of the most popular Perk Overhaul mods for Skyrim, if for nothing else than the fact that it's available on all versions of the PC game and Xbox One (sadly not PS4) which makes it stand out against it's older competitors. So what are the rules for this Event, because, well you don't actually have to download or use Ordinator to make a build for this Event, or memorize every skill, combination or anything else. No the idea behind this event is to create a build that is based off a single perk from the Ordinator overhaul.

This can be rather simple, for example Destruction Mastery is a rather simple perk that reduces spell cost and increases the damage of destruction spells (so essentially just the Novice-Master perks with a bit more) and there are a number of ways that I can think of to work that into a build. Or it can be somewhat more complicated like trying to create a character that can use the False Light perk (which lets your healing spells do damage to enemies) in Vanilla Skyrim. Or end up creating an Ordinator build that's focused on a single perk (for example...Vancian Magic).

So don't be thrown off by the theme of Ordinator - Perks of Skyrim, because at the end of the day anyone can join in for this Event no matter what consolse, modding preferences or version of the game.

    The Rules:

You have two weeks to complete the build (7th - 21st of April)

Your build can be anywhere from Level 1 to 20 (but cannot pass Level 20)

All builds must be tagged with 'Flash Event 3'

All builds must be titled 'Flash Event Build: [Build Name Here]'

    Participants:

Tysoyaha and Flamez - WiP - The Wendigo

    PaulThe Sweeping Wind

Chris (D) - The Imperial Bannerlord

    Xenla - The Scoundrel

    BlueDremora - The Fortunate

    Dragonborn1921 - The Corpse Maiden

I like the idea of this! I think 'flash builds' suit me more than fully worked out builds - I'm usually bored with characters by Level 20 anyway!

My 'problem' is that I just replaced my PS4 with an XBoxOne - which means I can now download Ordinator. Unfortunately, I don't actually have a copy of Skyrim SE on the XBoxOne...yet! I can probably fix that if I get a chance to pop into the game exchange early next week - swapping out a couple of PS4 games for the aforementioned Skyrim SE.

might be able to get up and running in time, but I'm going to be struggling with the deadline here...

Heh, honestly that first bit didn't sound like a problem at all "Oh no, I can play Ordinator now" :P Hope you get lucky with that, don't think we really have anywhere that you can exchange games for a decent price...I mean, I know that the game stores generally run a few deals with new consoles (trade in your Xbox One + 2 gaames for $200 off an Xbox One X and that sort of thing) but other then that it's usually not worth it for the amount you get back.

Bah, anyway, I'll put you down for it Paul and hope you can make the deadline :D But really I hope you enjoy Ordinator and the new Xbox more than that, there really are some cool mods to try out.
