    Well...

Having dipped my toe into the CB waters with Fallout 4, I am now wondering whether I might dare to make a Skyrim build? The theme - well, let's be honest, it's broad enough to encompass ANYTHING isn't it. Put it this way, I would bet that I could find a song on Spotify that would 'fit' any build I could think of...

Of course, the big difference is that whereas there's a few dozen Fallout builds, and therefore it's relatively easy to come up with something vaguely original, there is a sense in which everything possiblr in Skyrim has been done before.

IF I can come with something

    a) that's hasn't been done a zillion times before

    b) is possible on PS4 (only basic mods)

    c) can be done by the end of March

...then maybe I'll take a shot at it **gulp **

Alright, time to enter 'convince Paul to join in using any means that I can' mode. But yeah, the overall idea was just to make something that's as broad as possible, but still pretty easy to gain inspiration. I mean really you could just chuck on literally any playlist and find something in that first song to base a build off of, it might be easier or tougher depending on the song, but you could use lyrics, themes, tones, anything...Hell if people wanted to be cheeky, a build that used the 'drum' as an RP mechanic could reasonably base itself on anything :P

I think one of the (many) possibilities could be to explore something in one of Phenderix's mods, he's sort of the God of PS4 Mods as far as I'm concerned and making something based on at least one of the spell lines could be interesting enough to, if not be 100% unique, at least move in some interesting ideas. Wind Magic for example, could be really fun to play with or combining Water and Lightning (or any of the other combos that have one spell reducing resistance and the other doing the damage). Oooh, or something using the 8 Gates (or generally increasing damage at the cost of the user) could be really interesting. Plus those mods are available on all three consoles, but I can't figure out where he lists what doesn't work fully on PS4 (because I know the uh...magnetism spells wouldn't work, and might not still, and maybe Blood and a few others).

But yeah, think there's a lot of potentials there if you wanted to work something new in. Might be the same skills/perks, but definitely some new gameplay that can be done :D

Well this looks to be an interesting event. Think FoCB did something similar before and I didn't have a chance to participate, but I just recently started a new build and I think I could turn it into something that can fit the theme quite nicely. Just need to find a song... put me down for the Kunoichi; subject to change though Deebs :P

Found the song (literal interpretation of the lyrics)

    Pheonix by Fallout Boy

Yeah, FO did that with Radio Stars.

@ Paul, I agree with DB. Need not be anything original, either. Everything is just a variation on a theme anyway, and even the very original builds were inspired by something else. You've already got an exciting mod list and gameplay from your recent San-daro T&T article, so why not turn that into a full build, set to the lyrics of King Fu Fighting by Carl Douglas?

All updates for Chris are in, Flamez I've got your entry in and I'm excited to see what you've got.

Paul, that is another idea, that character seems really interesting and could be an interesting/exciting build to play around with for this Event.

So how are we going, people? Been keeping up with Phil's WiP which is incredibly creative already, but wanted to know where others are up to at this point? Another thing I wanted to mention was just highlighting the event for anyone interested in getting into Skyrim Building, definitely a good Event to hop into since the theme is pretty broad.

So yeah, if you're just thinking about trying to build, I'd definitely recommend giving it a shot :D And just wanted to share this from the original post.

Now before I jump into the participants, I want to offer something to anyone new to building (or really anyone that wants to improve their builds). Over this event, I'd like to help people jump into the Event, so if anyone does need the help, feel free to reach out and I'll help out as much, or as little as you'd like. I'm fine with either just chatting to job some thoughts, or work a full on collab with you (though I won't be able to play for each).

Yeah, I think I'm gonna have to sign up for this one. I'm planning to do one, but maybe two if I have time for it. Though I think that I'll keep what song it is a secret for now.
