Ok good. Then I'm the one who wasn't understanding. Lol.

You can thank DD for that idea btw, he's been a big help as I'm attempting to step into modded builds!

    DD?

DD is just short for Dragon Dude, a bastardized version of Dragon Born which is what I call Dragonborn1921 and holy shit, I'm only now realizing how up my own ass I'm getting with these nicknames. It's a wonder that anyone ever know what the fuck I'm taking about. Lmao.

    Sorry about that...

Oh. lol. normally I see Dragonborn's username abbreviated as DB or Db, I thought for a moment there you just had dyslexia and read his name as 'Dragondorn1921'

Tyso, this is bonkers! The opening poem and ending rhyme are awesome :D Funny, when I started playtesting for the previous Flash Event, I started off using that spell you mention early on, Prepare for Adventure. I really liked the random colour robes and random staff, was starting to build around that and the sudden nudity when the spell wears off. I figured it to be both artisticly Dibellan in its spontaneity and unpredicatability, and obviously enjoyed the Suddenly Underwear! element after. I scrapped it quickly but it had me grinning like an idiot.

Anyway, yes, big fan of Apocalypse Alteration spells (Drop Zone being my new favourite form of Skyrim base jumping, especially with time slowed) and the use you have put them too, especially Entomb. While I may find the images slightly jarring in that it's hard to soak up the TES spirit, the writing and mechanics showcase Alteration wonderfully, and a great resource for those new to Apocalypse :)

I do actually have dyslexia and even more severe dysgraphia (which is the one that reverses letters), but I taught myself to recognize the difference between b and d a long time ago thanks the the word "bed" being the shape of a bed (no one would fit in a deb shaped bed). So...this was just because I'm also a weirdo.

Thanks! Lol. Yea, I love Prepare for Adventure. I've been trying to make a build for a while now that had to strategize around using a random spell every dungeon or battle or so. I tried to do one in vanilla where you assigned your spells numbers and literally rolled dice, but vanilla destruction spells just weren't diverse or interesting enough to make that worth it, and including other schools made it impossible to plan a build. So I kind of love that I finally got to base a build around that concept. It's also really fun to RP around your clothes abruptly varnishing. Even if you throw the other ones on immediately, you were still standing in the middle of the market district when suddenly you were nude and scrambling to put on different clothes. Lol. You gotta play a character that would be OK with that.

Yea, how cool is that Entomb thing? It's basically the Alteration version of a summon. You'd be surprised what it works on too...I really did take out a bandit camp with a giant. Lol. My favorite was realizing that Perilous Path can be cast with Hethoth's Grimoire to create a sea is spikes for you. You really have to see it to understand how cool it is. Speaking of which, I definitely get the problem with the images but they were literally the best I could find. I'm wondering if maybe I shouldn't have done Willy Wonka at all but I just found it so damn amusing. Lol. Maybe I should see if the art request thread will wake up long enough to help me out with the vibe of this build...

It is fun, no doubts there. In fact, it was the Apocalypse staves which sort of woke me up to the awesomeness of combos. I got a Staff of Fracture which staggers enemies and applies increased damage when triggered by another frost spell. That sent me on a rabbit hole of playtesting to figure out what staves were spawning and ensuring I had a spell to compliment it. So I totally agree that the randomness is fun, and suddenly underwear in the middle of Solitude is just a lol moment, and rather Uncle Sheo.

It's a great tactic! I only played with it briefly just to establish an ideal setup for a particular style of play so didn't think of its uses as you have. I now wonder, too, about those staggering spikes. With a staff-focussed character holding Miraak's writhing wood, would there be any potential synergy and stunlocking to be had? DoT effets would be awesome to combine with those spells, I'm guessing. Good luck with the Art Group :)

I mean, I only play vanilla SSE, but for a Willy Wonka themed build - sure that's a +1 from me! Good work.

Wow...I thought I answered this a while ago. Sorry about that. Also Miraak's writing wood? That couldn't have been by accident...but it still cracks me up every time.

Anyway, what I originally responded was something along the lines of admitting that Perilous Path is basically the poor man's Mora's Agony, so the two wouldn't synergize well simply because the staff makes going through the trouble is setting up the Everlasting Mobstopper strategy a bit redundant.

You're right though, DoTs are great. I found myself crossing my fingers for Dragon's Teeth because it could inflict burn on several enemies at once and if one died it created a wall of fire that the others were sure to follow me though because I was backpedaling in a circle around Hethoth's Grimoire. Lol. Rift Bolt was another great one because if I screwed up and an enemy got to close, I could just teleport them away from me and they'd have to run through the spikes again, doubling the chance that they'd stagger.
