Weekly Build Feature - Week 3

Wow, week three already. So, the Weekly Feature is a new little feature system that I'll be running, where each week I throw up a poll with 6 builds to choose from, and you guys vote for whichever one you want to be featured. Only a single build with the most votes will get featured, though I'm hoping that all of them get a bit of support through this. Each of these builds is Legendary Ranked, and we're aiming to focus mostly on this rank for the next month at least.

This week's theme is going to be 'Limited Edition'. Simply put I started going through the Bard Tag, only to discover that we apparently only have 2 Legendary Builds that use it (sorry, technically one and another build that's called a Bard) and then decided. The Supporter and Shouts tags are also pretty small compared to some of the larger tags (though Shouts has a lot of Legendary Builds). So sit back, and enjoy two builds from each of the three tags

    The Bard by Ponty

    The Travelling Bard by OrangeDragon

The War Priest by No snakes aLive

    The Frost Nymph by Noodles

The Psijic Order Monk by Henson

The Order of the Lily by Elysium

     The Tiebreaker Poll

The War Priest by No snakes aLive

    The Frost Nymph by Noodles

This is a tricky one. I'm a sucker for classic builds, and The Psijic Order Monk and The War Priest are two of the best classic builds out there, plus anything by Ponty is definitely at least worth considering. Then again, The Frost Nymph has a naturey druidey section, and I love that kind of thing.

Screw it, I'm going with The War Priest, purely because anything by snakes deserves to be remembered, and the thought of some newer members not knowing who he is is a terrifying thought.

Man, I'm torn there. Because while I've got a near unending amount of respect for the classic builds and builders, I can't help but see a lot of them as a bit dated. You've got things like the Crepuscular which still holds up today, but there are some Legendary Builds that are just a bit boring for me looking back so it ends up becoming a comparison between the connection I had with the build, versus (what I see) as the higher quality of a lot of the ideas presented in later builds. I mean, The First is my favorite Ponty build. Some of my favorite Henson builds are the ones that he posted after I joined, and same for just about any builder that posted content after I joined. Mason's Seraphim is one of my favorites of his

But man, gotta say I'm still a huge fan of No snakes, and The POM is definitely an awesome build. Maybe if it were another of No snakes' builds I'd pick it, but I think at the moment I'm more split between The Order of the Lily and The Frost Nymph.

Hey so I am not sure if anyone is up for editing, but I have no idea why my Psijic Order Monk is in the shout tag...? I remember way back when when the tags began to roll out and I didn't feel the need to put 3 tags on all of my builds. Most of them I would simply put 1 maybe 2 and only sometimes three.

This worries me that someone may have added tags to my other builds... Which needless to say I don't honestly care too much I just want to make sure the polls you create are true to the category.

It could be the case that someone in a leadership position along the way decided each build needed 3 tags and just put some there? Just making a case for making room for another build that might deserve to be in this poll. I strongly advise that my Pisjic Order Monk is neither a shout oriented build nor a supporter in any way, and not really a bard. Monk is even a stretch in relation to the classic classes of Elder Scrolls but the tag felt it fit due to rp.

Just as a heads up. Flattered it is included but if you are strictly going off of "Bard" "Shouts" and "Supporter" then mine might not be the best pick for the group here.

If you really needed builds to fill it out then that's cool lol.

As a diehard Noodles fan, the Frost Nymph is the obvious choice for me. Even if I didn’t love Noodles’ builds as much as I do, the fantastic and unique presentation, roleplay, and gameplay make it worthy of winning this poll for me. But that’s not to say the other builds aren’t good. Ponty and Henson’s builds are classics that will always be good no matter what. Ely’s builds are always incredibly well done as well. The art work and lore are always top notch. As for The War Priest and The Traveling Bard, I don’t remember reading them but briefly skimming through them, they look like good builds.

Hmm, that's really strange. I've just gone through the Like Archives (that we used to transfer links from Ning) and it's listed there as having the Bound Weapons, Mage and Monk tags, with no mention of the Shouts tag. So even if this was a build that you had three tags for, the Shouts tag shouldn't be on there unless it was a recent change (in which case I assume you'd remember it). I think I'm going to leave it in, because I'm rather hesitant to change up the actual poll options, but I might just change it to a more generic 'underused tag' theme. That fits perfectly fine because we still have a pretty limited Monk Tag...Lol, actually it's in even worse states than the Shouts tag (2 pages versus 5) so it very much fits the general idea of the Theme, which is pretty loose really, I'm sort of just doing that to give myself less options because there are so many good builds and if I actually tried to narrow it down it'd take me too long to run these.

Sorry about the mix-up at some point though Henson. That's really strange that it was given the Shouts Tag, though I might even say the Bound Weapons tag barely fits the build (it does use them, but it's not really the focus).

So I'm going to break the mold and vote for the Order of the Lily. Really, I think that it was between that and The Frost Nymph, but my general preference for Elysium's style and the fact that it tackled Shouts in a really interesting way by linking it in with Dibella, that's pretty unique, absolutely cool and when combined with her presentation, I have to give it to Elysium.

But it was damn close (yet again). Could've easily voted for just about any build here, just those two took the cake a little.

Well bound weapons are a focus of the build with the heavy use of bound sword. Out of all of the tags, that fits best. Not sure what you meant... It was one of my main intentions in the build to use bound sword as a means of approaching the concept...

Fair enough I suppose, I just don't think it came across like that in the actual write-up, from an outside view years later, it just seems like there were other focuses and that Bound Weapons were kind of a side note. Buuuuut I'm hardly going to argue about it with you, considering it's your build :P I think I can see it from the build's Perks and Gameplay, just not the actual write-up.
