Flash Event 1: Twin Deities

Welcome everyone to the first of a brand new set of Events that I'll be running down here in the Character Building Group. The premise for the event is relatively simple, instead of creating a huge build based off a relatively broad theme, the idea is to create small builds in a shorter time with significantly more...focused themes. It could be something like basing your build off of a single skill, or a particular NPC rather than 'All NPC's'. Each of these events last two weeks, and I'll be holding one of these every two weeks. That means unless there's a conflicting event (Any building event that isn't for Skyrim) these will be run twice a month, every month for the next year at the very least.

This week's theme is based off the AMOSS Event currently running over in The Story Corner. Over there, the challenge is to write a 2-20K story based off of three themes (something I'm really fond of) and over here we're going to be twisting it just a little bit. It's still entirely plausible to take place in both, in fact, I think it'd be bloody awesome if someone could write a story and a build all linked together, but over here the themes are changed so that they each represent 2 Deities. You can do anything with these deities, try and figure out some whacky way that they're actually in Skyrim, have your character hate them with all their heart, play with ideas around their spheres of influence, anything you want. The only rule is, that you have to stay within the theme. For example, you can't create a build based off of Sheogorath and Hircine, or Dibella and Sheogorath or Mara and Lorkhan, but you could make a Dibella + Mara build, or any other combination.

Also, for those interested in sweet, sweet badges, there will be an actual reward for people who can complete a certain number of events. Taking place in 6 Flash Events will get you the Bronze Badge. Taking place in 10 will net you the Silver Badge. Finally, anyone who manages to complete 15 Events will receive the Gold Badge, as well as the ability to feature any Skyrim Build on the main page.

I wanted to give thanks to Lissette and Sotek over in TSC for running AMOSS. Liss was great enough to let me base the event off of AMOSS (something that is generally going to be the plan if another group is running an event) and of course gave me a few ideas for the overall idea behind this one.

    The Rules:

You have two weeks to complete the build (14th - 28th of January)

Your build can be anywhere from level 1 - 20, but cannot pass level 20.

All builds must be tagged with the "Flash Event 1" tag (without the quotation marks)

All builds must be titled -  Flash Event Build: [Build Title Here]

    Theme Choices:

The first set of deities will be Julianos and/or Sheogorath based on the AMOSS Theme, Aching Bones/Aching Minds

The second set of deities will be Mara and/or Dibella based on the AMOSS Theme, Bun in the Oven

The third set of deities will be Hircine and/or Lorkhan based on the AMOSS Theme, Under the Moonlight

    Participants:

Dragonborn1921 - The Wolf that Stalks the Night

    Chris - The Moonlight Kuyodaka

    Flamezsword - Lunar Raka

    Dreadwalker The Master Baker

    Xenla - The Crimson Scar

Zalyius - Julianos + Sheogorath Build

    Paws - Dibella Build

Insert a certain memefied quote that starts with the words 'Surprise' (and yes, I am pretty sure that memefied is either not a word, or that's not how you spell it).

Anyway, this was my big surprise that I've been teasing for the last two weeks. If you've got any questions, then feel free to ask, I'm introducing a new idea here afterall :)

As for myself, well I'm hoping to finish my build here, I've got a pretty interesting build that's aiming to combine the idea of 'The Wolf' and 'The Snake' from Hircine and Lorkhan. Though I might be doing the unthinkable, and doing a Hircine based build that...now wait for it...isn't a Werewolf *gasps of shock line the audience at my brave declaration*. Haven't decided though, fun stuff ahead if I can find the time to play it :D

Ah, no Julianos or Magnus and Mora? Hmm, sign me up for a Lorkhan and Hircine build. This could be interesting

Hey Deebs, you can do just one aedra or daedra, right?

OK then, my build is basically donezo. Just need to do the write up. Hint: It's a trap

Uhh...Julianos is up there, but yeah no Magnus or Herma-Mora, wanted to keep it rather limited rather than allowing total freedom (because being able to do anything with a shorter event makes it harder). But Hircine and Lorkhan, it can be just one of them if you want Chris, but it sounds good :)

    Yep that's entirely fine Liss.

I found a way to combine the huntsman ship of Hircine's, alongside wolves with the creation aspect of Lorkhan

Fair enough, sounds pretty great :D Personally I'm going with the Snake and Wolf aspects, or the more animalistic parts of both of them in general and trying to combine them. So it sounds like we've got two pretty different Hircine/Lorkhan builds planned here :D
