I must say after reading this I immediately tried it and thoroughly enjoyed myself. I usually play with mods, Ordinator was a nice addition for I and this build helped me start my first playthrough as a genuine mage in Skyrim.

    Sweet!

It took me almost 2 years before I finally got myself to play a pure mage (I usually go for a blend of weapons and magic). I'm glad the build worked for you as an introduction to the playstyle--mage builds can be a whole lot of fun if you give them a try :D

Bugger. God damn I just noticed I never dropped a comment or like here Shin. This is awesome, just so I'm so glad that I got to see it today :D Awesome build ShinJin.

    Thanks, DB!

And never apologize for missing stuff (at least to me)... I'm so far behind I blush when I think of all the builds and stories that I haven't gotten to yet. In fact, I only noticed today that I hadn't even added this build to my 'My Shared Content' page xD

Hopefully things in my personal life slow down enough so that I can start enjoying all the content that has come out over the last 3 or 4 months!

Wow. I saw DB's comment and came here, and I have to say, you did a great job with this. I play Ordinator, but I've never gone far into the Restoration tree, so this is a big surprise to see all the utility and damage that can come out of that. I may just be echoing the others, but I have to say, this is great!

    Thanks, Felkros! :D

I can't say it enough: Ordinator is absolutely fantastic. But while I've enjoyed all the skills I've played around with infinitely more than vanilla Skyrim's perks (which is saying something, because I still really enjoyed them), Restoration has been my favorite by far. I think 'utility' is an incredibly apt (and somewhat counterintuitive) description of Ordinator's Restoration ;D

Heh was popping in again and thought I might as well leave a comment. Mostly was popping in because I'm planning a Resto-Ordinator build of my own at the moment and had to get some inspiration (playing the 'Cleric' so would feel massively different) and just hot damn this is an awesome build. Screw it, I'm going to drop another like here because this deserves it. Anyway, just about everything about this build is phenomenal, but time and time again I'm drawn to the Minor Skills and Followers pictures because they're bloody perfect.

By the way, you can either upgrade your rank to Recognized or SE: Master if you want (I'd go the second, but I'm a biased host). Thought I'd mention it 'cause honestly this deserves some Legendary.

Dang. This build if over a year old and I never said anything. Mostly I absolutely love it, because Restoration magic in Ordinator is some of the best stuff out there, particularly with the Apocalypse spell mod.

One thing I like about Mjoll, aside from how overall pleasant and undamaged she is compared to most of Skyrim’s grimdark Followers, is that she’ll dual-wield staves like a beast. I’ve had a few really satisfying playthroughs with her using a giant axe up close and hammering away with dual fireball staves like a one-woman artillery team at range. With all the damage she does, a staff of soul stealing can nap at least one black soul per fight, which keeps the staff tanks topped off.
