Mace and board for a two-skill build... it's a winner! Totally viable, and the video of the 5 second defeat of a draugr overlooked proves it ;D

But even more than the skills, I enjoyed the character you've created. I have no idea how you've pulled this off so early (and with a video no less). I'm still wondering if I'm even going to get finished by next Friday.

One way or the other, you've set the bar high. Nicely done, sir ;D

Thanks Shinjin.  Well, an early and fast start to the build..lol.  As Lissette said a two tree wouldn't/shouldn't take a ton of time.  Only one playthrough on this one so that helped immensely as well (lol).  Just wanted to make sure that you wouldn't die all the time and that it would work out so that was the main focus.  Honestly with just two perks there wasn't a lot to think about other than how to flesh out the build to make it interesting.

Yeah, it doesn't really, but it depends on the skills you take. Now, I don't know about you, but I actually found my characters to be stronger with only the two skills, compared to a character that leveled other skills in conjunction. I frankly didn't miss the lockpicking or selling things and this exercise may change how I approach skills.

Well, the biggest issue for me was slower overall leveling.  That 20-21 bump in a skill is faster to get than the 50-51 bump is..lol.  And then gold and gear which I wasn't worried about in this one but for a full blown play would be more important at Level 40 than level 20.  Who knows what gear you're missing in those chests..lol.

You'd think it would be easy, but the writing alone usually takes me a couple weeks (and I can't seem to ever come up with a build without playing it at least twice (usually three times)

What can I say? I'm a tortoise xD

Crud! just realized that I forgot to give your build the well deserved like.

Thank you sir.  I like the writing and usually do 3 or more rewrites just while in Workshop and then I browse it again while posting and make any changes then that strike my fancy.  I usually catch 2-3 things I tweak at that point.  On a full blown build I play multiple times as well, at least twice.  Three if I experience any major issues that I have to refigure.  But I put a lot of lead time into the pre-build so luckily I don't find that to be an issue...usually.

Hey Plunders, thanks for the like.  Got me to Recognized.  LOL, I think this is just my 2nd build ever to get out of Bloodworks without a Deathmatch.  hehe

    Much appreciated!

So nice to sit and read through this build again now that the event is over. It is always difficult to be first and I'm just amazed at how fast you cranked this out, John. Shield and mace is a potent combo and I am so glad that doing this build made you appreciate the little things that can make or break warfare. The use of scrolls, usually such a throw away thing, now becomes super important, as do staves. Made me really appreciate it too.

And the perkspread is now really cool to me. Great visual innovation there.

Thank you for participating in this Event.
