Good to see Vampiric Drain getting some love finally - I don't think I've ever seen it in a build as much as this and it's definitely a good thing.

And this build is very well presented, the  second screenshot really sets the tone for the build wonderfully, while the map is a nice touch that makes the whole process a lot easier for readers.

    Good job, Peppo!

Man, canibalism builds give me the heebeegeebees... but I like this. I also thinkg its pretty cool that you've got a close quarter spell that doesn't level up any other skills. Pretty freaking clever! ;D

I've been experimenting with items that don't level up skills for a while. In fact, my first idea for this event was a build involving staves because they don't level up Destruction, too bad I had to scrap it because recharging them increases Enchanting (and they're kinda hard to find). I think I'll transform it into a normal Character Build sooner or later.

Thank you for the kind words. :D

Really nice build dude! If I may, I would like to add a few pointers... 1 There is a glitch where you can string an arrow, hit the seath button, then immediately bash the enemy to deal more damage than a regular bash. Also, if you fire a shot and the enemy ends up on you, you can also bash immediately and it does more damage than before. 2: I feel like applying the Armor of the Old Gods is better than the scaled armor because it appeals more aesthetically and does decrease your Vampiric Drain spell cost by 15%. 3: Finally, you could add Volsung( 20% better prices and carry weight plus waterbreathing), Morokei(+100% magicka regen), Krosis(20% archery, alchemy, and Lockpicking boost) or the Diadem of the Savant(5% decrease to all spells from all schools of magic) as possible head pieces plus you could use the Aetherial crown to make infinite serpent stone uses or have the lord stone to boost armor and magic resistance, and you still have the serpent stone as well. Furthermore, the masks make the Bosmer look more like a tribal hunter too and Krosis matches the color scheme of the Saviors Hide or Armor of the Old Gods. All in all though the build is sick and appeals to my inner Wood Elf and Vampire! +1 like, and +1 Sweetroll!

You could make one perk enchanting and the other one whatever, like alteration, and use stalves. Also you could use scrolls as well to add more coverage!

Wow, this is some constructive criticism! You really thought this through.

    • 1. I didn't know about that sheath/bash trick, it might actually come in handy; thanks for pointing it out
    • 2. I thought a lot about the Armor of the Old Gods, but in the end I decided not to use it: the Savior's Hide has a higher armor rating and I'd trade the 15% decrease in spell cost for 15% extra magic resistance (which is HUGE versus fire damage when you're a Vampire) any day. Another reason is that, although I like it aesthetically, I think it would make the player look too much like a Forsworn and that's not how I want my character to look like.
    • 3. About the Dragon Priest Masks: I overlooked them because the majority is counted as heavy armor, but the three you listed are actually considered light. I'd scrap Volsung (that's not really useful) and Morokei because of the low armor rating and the fact that you have to compete the questline from the College of Winterhold to acquire it; Krosis, though, is really good and I might add it. I'm not a big fan of the Diadem of the Savant since it prevents you from using headpieces with better enchantments, but I understand why you would use it.
    • 4. Lastly, I woudn't use the Aetherial Crown to exploit in-game bugs because I don't like to do so (plus some players with a modded Skyrim might have the unofficial patch in which this bug is fixed, I think), but it's a nice addition if you want to use it for the double standing stone effect. I might add this one, too

In my opinion staves have a pretty big flaw: the fact that they are only useful at a short distance - unless you take into account the stronger ones which are impossible to find in the early levels - but do very little versus multiple enemies. I tried with staves and block but I felt I lacked damage (and it also levelled up heavy armor if I recall correctly); same for staves and heavy armor. I even tried playing from level 1 with the Wabbajack, which is really fun but still hard.

The only way I could make it work was with a follower, but that wasn't very entertaining to play. I think this build would really benefit from scrolls as you say. :D

Rereading this build, Peppo. What sticks out to me is how great a job you did at combining the text from the lore information. Also, the map, the map of everything you need. Just such a novel, neat idea.

We actually had some similar approaches to our Bosmers though yours was a vampire and mine was a werewolf. We both adhered to the Green Pact and my food inventory was all meat. :D

Again, if I haven't said anything, I want to thank you for your participation in this Event. It was very cool seeing a build from you and another fast one too. Here's to a lot more.

Yeah, I too realized our builds were pretty similar, at least if we don't take into account you made three different characters. And I'm happy to see you made it in time. :D

It has been fun making this build. I'm actually working on another one but I still need to playtest it all the way through and I think I'll need the help of the workshop, plus I don't have much time at the moment. So, you probably won't see it anytime soon.

Hey, looks like that personal tag works out nice!

Also love the way that you used the book to put the build together nicely. Great job Peppo :D
