Damn. This is one hell of a build, Lis. The time and are you put into this really shows through. I'm so glad you finally got this out and that you used the chapters here to integrate storytelling and the character. I only wish I could give this +77! :D

I'm glad I finally got it out too and thanks for your kind words, Edana. Hopefully the next build will not take me nearly a year. I got some ideas brewing in my head, but Henantier was one I wanted to get out for some time.

    YAY! MOAR BUILDING FOR EVERYONE!!

You know Lis, this build, plus Aelberon, has actually inspired an upcoming build of mine. Well, that and For Honor

Hey Lis, I just noticed, in your Block section, you put Warmaster. I don't recall any perk or magic effect with that name

It's the top perk in the Two-Handed Tree Chris, the one that paralyzes on a backwards power attack.

Flattered to know that this is a springboard for more creativity.

Aelberon is always in the back of my head as a build, but his build, if I adhere to Straag Rod, is a rather complex one. I have Requiem in my regular skyrim, but Ordinator in my SE, so I'm going to mess around with both overhauls in the summer and see which one I like best. He is a vanilla build as well, but lately, I'd liked providing options for overhaul players in my builds and it'll be something I'll start working on with the Outsider with Golden Fool and Urag will also have an alternate perkspread.

While I read character builds and stories on this site, I rarely comment outside of the stories written by those on a Skryim Discord server that I participate in. However, this build is so striking that I just had to comment. As one who loves to read, the storytelling drew me in. The presentation and artwork made me linger. Of course at that point I needed to continue reading the fascinating character build whose roleplay brilliantly meshes with the lore. The sheer emotion of the roleplay motivation is overwhelming.

I love the attention to detail that you've included in this build, from the storytelling which fits in with the lore books to the quests and their timing to the equipment progression which suits each chapter of the roleplay. You've clearly explained the reasoning behind each of these choices and how they enhance the game play and roleplay. Since I play vanilla Skyrim, I appreciate that you've included options for both modded and unmodded Skyrim.

As one who prefers to play female characters that use magic, range and stealth (never melee), this build is one that would actually entice me to play a male melee character and enjoy doing it!

Thanks so much GailOlm for your kind words.  I'm glad you found the Outsider's story so compelling. You know, you read Great Harbingers and Songs of the Return, and there are just so many cool characters from that time. I also can't imagine how Henantier had the guts to do what he did. First Era was rough on Elves in particular. The early part of it saw the extermination of the Snow Elves, the defeat of the Ayleids, the Dwemer were gone by 700, the Chimer were changed to Dunmer. Anti-Elf was a strong sentiment. And for him to go into Nord land and serve them, which is what he did for many years, which is something Altmer are not known to do, that took some serious, as we say in Spanish, cojones. When I read that, I knew it had to be a build. Took me a long time to do it, but I'm glad it came out.
