Hello, guys! My name is Rex, and today I wanted to share this build with all of you, it is based on League of Legends' champion, Rengar. The feeling I was going for was an armored hunter/assassin who excels at one-on-one combat, using fun mechanics to jump on our targets out of thin air and make them dissapear. Without further ado, I present to you:

    THE PRIDESTALKER

Lore: The pridestalker was once a caravan guard at Elsweyr, escorting merchants throughout long and dangerous journeys, a hunter at heart, he would rather shadow the carriages form a far, ambushing bandits before they even had a chance to strike, than tediously guarding the caravans. As time went by, the pridestalker developed an obsession for what he called The Hunt, this led him to accepting jobs without demanding any payment, simply to feel the thrill of a new manhunt. He would venture into the most dangerous canyons, deserts and forests, searching for bigger game; powerfull raiders, wild beasts, or even mythical creatures, as long as he could do something to hone his hunting skills.

One day, however, a bandit leader, tired of the pridestalker's interventions, decided to hire a misterious assassin from a far away land to deal with him. Accepting the contract, the killer followed the pridestalker and found a way to lay an ambush for him, when the moment came, both fought what seemed an eternal fight; days went by until both were drained of all energy, and had to escape from one another. The pridestalker, in a wounded and weakened state reached the border of Skyrim, and what happened next is up to you...

Race: Khajiit, there's no other choice, we will need unarmed damage, and the night vision

fits the build perfectly. Oh, and make him big ;)

    Stats: 0:1:

Stones: Shadow, once we get the aetherial crown, we can equip the Steed or Lord stones.

Major Skills: One handed, Sneak, Unarmed.

Minor Skills: Heavy armor, Smithing, Illusion, Restoration, Archery.

Equipment: Ancient Nord Armor set (no helmet), Aetherial Crown (Steed or Lord), Ring of the Beast, Blade of Woe (allways on the off-hand), Amulet of talos, Zephyr.

Shouts:Unrelenting Force, Aura Whisper, Marked for Death, Slow Time, Throw Voice, Whirlwind sprint, Dragon aspect.

    GAMEPLAY

The point of this build is to pounce on targets from stealth and kill them one by one, there's a couple of moves we can use for this (see "Special Moves"), however, sometimes, me might get caught, which is why we will be dual wielding the blade of woe in the off hand, and the ring of the beast in our right hand, with dual flury, our DPS is great, and dual savagery can help us with some amazing burst.

While undetected, we will use muffle to sneak on our enemies, however, i didn't want this to become the "hit 75 illusion, go invisible all day long", which is why invisibility will be a power we'll need to save for when the situation calls for it, since it's only source in this build will be the shadow stone. Quiet casting will also allow us to pull off some nice moves using shouts (Whirlwind Sprint, Throw Voice, Aura whisper, Marked for Death, etc.) while remaining undetected.

Once in open combat, the drain effect from the Blade of Woe will keep us sustained, along with close wounds, if our health gets too low. Although we are using heavy armor, and we have the bonus health from the ring of the beast, we should still try to stay mobile during fights to avoid unnecessary damage. Archery was also added so that we can fight targets like dragons or mages when we can't reach them, however, try to use it as little as possible, plus, crafting arrows is a good way to get some levels in smithing, so that's that...

Smithing was only included so that we can upgrade our Blade of Woe and Zephyr as much as possible, the pridestalker need his weapons to be in top notch condition to endure the hunt.

    ROLEPLAYING

The pridestalker is a cocky fighter, he works solo, which means he wont feel comfortable within any faction, he chooses to worship Hircine by his own means, although he won't become a werewolf, since he doesn't want to make The Hunt easier for himself.

Ever since the incident with the hired assassin, the pridestalker roams Skyrim searching for anyone who presents such a challenge for him. If you have plpayed League of Legends, you already have an idea of who the rival assassin is ;), however, there is no enemy or NPC in Skyrim that matches that description, so the pridestalker will wander aimlessly searching for strong game until he finds his nemesis.

A big part of this build is simply roaming Skyrim looking for something to hunt; dragons, giants, vampires; what you hunt won't mater as long as it is a challenge, however, here are a few quests you might want to consider and I feel fit the character perfectly:

    • Main Quest: The pridestalker wouldn't lose the oportunity to slay the one and only Alduin.
    • Siege on the Dragon Cult: This is basically a contract on a dragon priest, plus, it will allow us to get the Ancient Nord Armor without joining The Companions.
    • Destroy the Dark Brotherhood!: The dark brotherhood claim to be the finest man-hunters in all of Skyrim... we'll see about that. We also get the Blade of Woe from this quest.
    • Bloodline: We need to become vampires to acquire the ring of the beast, however, I prefer to cure vampirism as soon as I do, as it feels out of place in this build... We use no steroids for The Hunt, and vampire form is definitely one.
    • Ill met by moonlight: Our first contact with Hircine and the opportunity to hunt a werewolf.
    • Lost to the ages: To get Zephyr and the Aetherial Crown.

    SPECIAL MOVES

Thrill of The Hunt (Aura whisper + muffle + Shadow Stone):

The pridestalker plans his next hunt; scouting ahead while camouflaged before striking his victims.

Unseen Predator (Silent Roll + Critical Charge):

Combining both of these abilities will allow the pridestalker to jump from stealth and score a power attack with his dagger. Whirlwind Sprint can be used before rolling to reach enemies that are far away.

Battle Roar (Unrelenting Force + Close Wounds):

In the middle of a harsh battle, the pridestalker utters a magestic roar, launching enemies away and heling himself.

Savagery (Dragon Aspect + Slow Time + Dual Wielding Power Attacks)

The pridestalker concentrates, drawing energy from elder sources to release a flury of claws and steel before his oponents can even react.

Guardian Angel (Avoid Death + Unrelenting Force)

A blessing of the divines keeps the pridestalker alive as his enemies are pushed back.

Ferocity (Dragon Aspect + Marked for death + Shadow Warrior + Unseen Predator):

In an amazing feat, the pridestalker marks a multitude of enemies before lunging from one to the other until they all fall dead without being able to even touch him.

Well, guys, that was it, hope you enjoyed, if there is anything you think I can do to improve the build, just let me know on the comments. :)

Very nice first build Rex.  However I think you might have missed a cool roleplay opportunity.  You mention in the background section that the reason the Pridestalker is in Skyrim is due to a failed assassination attempt.  One would assume that this assassin was from the Dark Brotherhood.  The failed attempt on your characters life leads him to seek vengence on the DB so he tracks down the last DB sanctuary which happens to be in Skyrim.  Just a thought but it seems like fun RP if you ask me.

I agree with the others--this is a cool build. I especially like the rather unexpected mixture of stealth and brutally savage ferocity :D

One thing I couldn't help but notice is the huge space between your 'Race' and 'Stats' section:

I know that formatting and text wrapping can be a bit glitchy at times, and since I'm on the Project Restoration team and have temporary editing privileges, I checked the editor and found that you did, indeed, intend to have that section wrapped around your image (as seen below):

My suggestion is to try deleting the space between the words "him" and "big" in your 'Race' section to see if that takes care of it. If it doesn't, I'd be more than happy to see if I can fix it up for you... just say the word ;D

Again, this looks like a lot of fun--nicely done! :D

Agree with Shin on this. I like this build too.

If you want one of us can mess with that space for  you. I don't think that's what you intended.

Vargr! Thank you so much! As I already said; this build is based on a champion from League of Legends, so I tried to adapt his lore, the cliffhanger of who fought him might be solved with another build I'm starting to plan :) Regardless, I'll update the roleplaying section to talk about it, thanks a lot!

Shin and Lissette, thanks a lot for pointing it out! However, I couldn't fix it myself :( I would love it if you could "mess with that space" for me :)
