    "You have one mission: kill."

If you've ever wished for a build purely for f***ing things up, you've come to the right place.

The Undaunted is an almighty Orsimer tank, wielding a shield capable of absorbing the mightiest blows and a frightening mace dealing out equal or greater punishment. He relies on little else in combat than his own martial prowess and new-found Dovahkiin abilities. Foregoing the arcane arts and forging all of his own equipment, The Undaunted is a self-built warrior, trained from birth in his native stronghold, Nolob.  There are no enchantments save the Mace of Molag Bal, the one weapon The Undaunted feels is truly powerful enough for him. He bows to none, not even Malacath and seeks only to further his own strength through any feat of combat he encounters. None can withstand his might as he goes into any battle fearlessly and smites any in his path. His strength rivals the Divines themselves when using his Berserker Rage.

Lore: The True Nature of Orsimer

    Backstory:

"I am Dumamar gro-Nolob. I was born and raised in the stronghold of Nolob, outside of Skyrim. I was the son of chief Umugron and like all of my Orsimer kin I was trained from birth for one thing: combat. My natural talents far surpassed those of my peers and I was said to have been personally blessed by Malacath. I slayed my father, a right beast even for an Orsimer, at only twelve years old and became chief. Years passed and as I came into my twenties I was still uncontested. None had bested me to take my title, yet I took no wife. I didn't and still don't care for women. My place is in battle, spilling blood as I ought. Nolob rose to great power under my rule, but I decided to leave the Tribes after an incident, though I wouldn't have had much of a choice even if I wished to stay. I publicly denounced my following of Malacath and The Code of Malacath. I attacked a young, fierce Orc in Nolob who I could see had strength that might even rival mine but would not challenge me. I fought and killed him, unprovoked and with my bear hands and from then on became an enemy of even my own family. Those once my kin became just more bugs to squash beneath my boot and I have sworn to do just that. I'll wipe out all the strongholds to prove my strength. I now have traveled to Skyrim to test the might of foes in the province that I've heard many tales of. I ran into capture at the hands of the Imperial Legion and the Thalmor upon crossing the border. Damned High Elves. I escaped the city of Helgen thanks to a dragon. I came to Skyrim at the right time if those monstrosities are coming back; the perfect test of my strength as I crush the few strongholds around here. They shall all fall before me and I will stand above even the Eight in all my might.

I will remember what I was taught long ago: 'You have one mission: kill.'"

    The Build:

    Race: Orsimer/Orc Male

Name: Dumamar gro-Nolob(optional for additional roleplaying)

Stone: Warrior for first 5 levels, then Lord or Lady, your choice. These reflect The Undaunted's natural combat skill.

Stat Distribution: 0 Magicka 2 Health 1 Stamina

    Equipment: The Unstoppable Force

Full Daedric armor set, fully tempered. Mace of Molag Bal, fully tempered. Until these are available, use the strongest unenchanted armor set and mace you can forge.

Special Item: Azura's Star to keep the Mace enchantment filled.

    Gameplay:

The Undaunted is a classic Orcish tank, easy to use with only 4 applied skills. This is a no magic build, unless you count shouts as magic. His armor and weapons are completely unecnhanted as well as forged and tempered by himself, besides the Mace of Molag Bal, and he shoots for the strongest possible gearset(full, legendary Daedric armor). He faces combat fearlessly with traditional mace and shield combat backed by Orcish ferocity and savage bloodlust and never uses a follower. His method for dealing with ranged enemies is to charge in, dragging them into his range while his armor and shield reflect or absorb all magical or martial missiles. And dragons? The Undaunted uses Dragonrend to pull even the mighty winged children of the sky to his level. Before obtaining it he fights them with other shouts till they are weakened enough that they must land. He uses any powerful shouts he gets his hands on, adding them to his arsenal of his natural prowess. He actively seeks out strong opponents while also not hesitating to prey on the weak as he loves to strike fear into the hearts of any mortal being he can.

    Perk Calculator

One-Handed: The one and only damage dealing skill for this build. He is very proficient in the use of one-handed weapons, thus the heavy perking. It allows the Undaunted to crush his enemies beneath the power of The Mace of Molag Bal. Used in conjunction with the block skill, this build comes to be terrifying in close quarters combat.

Block: The Undaunted is so skilled with shield to absorb the strongest of blows from even the likes of giants, hence the fully perked Shield Wall. No perks are placed in bashing abilities as the shield is purely defensive.

Heavy Armor: Of course Heavy Armor is a skill that is an asset. It allows for absorption of hits that do not get blocked. This build's final armor rating is very competitive with the final fully tempered Daedric set.

Smithing: The pride of the Orsimer race, smithing skill is unparalleled in any other Tamrielic race. The Undaunted uses his experience gained from a young age to create the strongest armor he can for himself until he can reach the powerful Daedric armor.

     Abilities:

    Crippling Blow:

    Critical Charge + Bone Breaker

The Undaunted initiates combat with a crushing blow that strikes through and crumples the enemy's armor, an easy feat with his strength. Simply sprint forward and use a power attack that leaves the enemy wishing they had better defenses.

    Terrifying Rush:

    Shield Charge + Dismay

The Undaunted charges into his enemies with his shield, knocking them to the ground with Orcish brutality, and when they hear his mighty Thu'um all they can think of is escape.

    Dovah Onslaught:

Dragon Aspect + Fire Breath + Berserker Rage + Critical Charge

The most powerful attack combination in The Undaunted's resume. He unleashes the true power of the Dovahkiin as he takes on the form of a Dovah and deals out intense damage while tanking the deadliest blows with the famous Berserker Rage. First assuming the Dovah form and then setting alight his hapless opponent, he then relinquishes the Orcish fury in his blood and charges forward for an immensely damaging power attack on his already burning victim. None can withstand this attack unscathed, if they even survive.

    Orsimer's Cry:

    Berserker Rage + Storm Call

An Orismer's Berserker Rage is the stuff of legends, and The Undaunted has honed his to unprecedented levels. His raging cry awakens both his Dovah and Orismer blood to open the sky and bring a storm upon all in his way while his mace brings only more pain to his unlucky foes.

    Petrifying Grip:

    Paralyzing Strike + Disarm

The Undaunted relishes combat and turning his enemies into mere helpless victims. He unleashes a strike so fearsome, those on the receiving end are too scared to even move as their weapon is ripped straight from their grasp.

    Dual Charge:

Shield Charge + Back Up + Critical Charge

Charging through opponents only to charge them again, The Undaunted is the Orsimer embodiment of the "unstoppable force" He throws enemies to the ground with his shield and while they recover he steps back in preparation for another attack. Once his target is on their feet he rushes forward with a strong power attack.

The Undaunted in his full Daedric armor, wielding the mighty Mace of Molag Bal.

    Roleplaying:

The roleplaying aspect of The Undaunted is simple, yet complex as there is really only one directive, but it also leaves out many aspects used in all sorts of playthroughs. His mission in life is to garner power for himself by honing his natural skills and forging the most powerful weapons and armor he can without relying on petty enchantments. The exception to this rule is The Mace of Molag Bal. This weapon is the only one Dumamar sees fit for his power. Once he heard of the fear it strikes into mortal Men and Mer, he knew it was what he should wield. Everything you come across in your travels is a chance to increase your strength and therefore, whether an opponent is far beneath you or seemingly out of your league, you rush into combat to prove yourself. Of course, The Undaunted has enough sense to not attack people inside of a hold. However, he does actively seek out strong opponents and is a giant, vampire, and dragon hunter all in one. He cares little for money or treasures and so does not seek out sums of gold or uniques, besides those that hold fabled power such as Daedric Artifacts, which he quests for to show that his strength is pleasing even to beings such as Daedric Lords. In short, this build is rather anti treasure hunting and does not even bother with picking locks as it is unnecessary. It focuses only on fighting and destroying everything in it's path. Additionally, he does not use any armor he finds now matter how much stronger it is than his current set, opting only for what he forges himself.

    Quests:

Main Questline- prove your strength over even the mighty World Eater, Alduin.

Destroy the Dark Brotherhood- a petty guild of assassins is nothing before your might and Skyrim shall know of it.

Dawnguard(on the Dawnguard side)- even the great Vampire Lord Harkon will fall before you.

Dragonborn- Miraak stands before you and he shall be shown the true power of an Orsimer Dovahkiin.

Collect Daedric Artifacts- these artifacts are embodiments of great power that The Undaunted keeps as trophies.

Destroy Orcish Strongholds- The Undaunted has made it his mission to destroy the very kin that cast him out. Kill all Orsimer in all strongholds.

(This build was done in almost no time at all thanks to the fact that it is an old build that I already have an ungodly amount of hours of playtesting put into. Special thanks to Karver The Warlorc for his help with revising this build, for linking me to that article about the Orsimer race, and for being a fellow Orc lover!)

I would say this is really good build, especially for your first one. Keep working on your presentation skills, find some interesting concept and we might have a new top builder here!

Also, I absolutely love Orcs who just don´t mess around and beat everyone to bloody paste!

Excellent for a first build, making Daedric is a tall order, but I like how you lessened that load by not taking any other grindy skills. Good work.

Ouch, you keeeeel your own peoples!

Not bad for a first time, I can already see that you have paid attention to layout and how to construct a build. The perkspread is clear to read. Good work. Continue to work on roleplaying, backstory, and gaming concepts and you'll grow as a builder.

A fairly simple orc berserker, with some added abilities for a more powerful character. Very nice +1

I think the Undaunted bowed, actually knelt, to Molag Bal.  Very cool stuff you have here and you did your research very well on how to make a character build. You truly are an example for anyone new at this.

Thank you! I studied the character building guide quite extensively over the course of making this and pored over your build template as well as the Kynaran Ranger and Daughter of Coldharbour to see just how top builds are put together, though of course still have a ways to go. I've got several builds I'm itching to put to the test actually. The hard part is choosing which one to do first! And an example for everyone knew? That's rather flattering :)

Top builder? Well that's certainly a tall order but something to definitely aspire to! I felt this one was honestly lacking a bit as far as the concept. I basically just took an old juggernaut of mine I used to play a lot and spiced it up and added additional rp. But I'm very glad you like it and think I have such potential as to possibly be a top builder someday :)

This is a pretty solid build. I meant to give a proper comment on it while it was still in the Workshop but you moved it out of there rather quickly.

Regarding the build's abilities, the ones that use Elemental Fury won't work since that shout doesn't work with the Mace of Molag Bal due to it being enchanted. Also, with Dual Charge, you don't need to back up halfway through the move since Shield Charge will send the enemy flying forward; you can follow up with Critical Charge once they've landed and they're starting to get up. Finally, regarding dragons, until you get Dragonrend, I recommend using Marked For Death on them; it'll drain their AR while they're flying around, so once they finally land, you can take them out in no time at all.

Oh crap, I totally forgot about the Elemental Fury part due to the fact that I have a mod that changes it to work with enchanted weapons. I'll fix it, but I think I'll leave the part about backing up, because in my experience with that ability the backing up is often necessary indoors when enemies are not too far from walls and they don't really have room to be flung.

And yes, as it already had a ton of playtesting put into it, it did move through pretty quickly, though perhaps too quickly. My next builds will be newer and will require a lot of playtesting so they'll have a much longer stay in the workshop
