Cool build! Definitely a different take on a BH build, sounds very grindy in the beginning.

It wasn't bad.  Basically you are not limited on any quests really since they all pay coin and that's the ultimate goal.  So leave Helgen (or an Alternate Start point if you use that mod); hit Whiterun and start talking to people.  You can get 5-10 quests pretty quick just in Whiterun and then where ever you go just talk to every person you see and hit every inn.  The quests pile up quickly and the good thing is there is no real pattern you must follow so it's real "sandboxy" when it comes to that.

Appreciate the comment and the like!

    Awesome concept :D

Reminds me of this movie I watched where Hansel and Gretel are both BA Witchhunters.. Definitely going to try this one out!

A question, though.. What should I do if some enemies managed to get close? As far as I've known crossbows aren't particularly good about facing a couple of tanks carrying massive battleaxes...

Really love this build +1 :)

You should have at least one follower by this point.  Even if you don't you have your magical skills (destruction spells) that you are actually using as your primary attack until you get the crossbow.

The H&G movie was a major influence in this build and one reason I reference them so much in the build.  I had gone into more detail with this but was recommended to remove it as "extra information" that wasn't needed and hurt the build.

Which follower would you suggest me to go with? I personally dislike Serana because of her fighting behavior of resurrecting every bodies she met and ended up leaving tons of ash piles along the way. (Which is maybe a good reference of Hansel dropping bread crumbs to find their way back home)

About the destruction spells, would it be RP-breaking if I go with some higher level destruction spells like firebolt or fireball? I find myself really hard to survive with only concentrating flames spell and using the crossbow.

Sorry if I ask too much. I like this build so much I want to know every detail there is. :)

The way that I had to build laid out in the way I played it was to limit myself to concentration casting and runes. Due to the disfigurement of the characters hands he's unable to cast the intricate spells of higher levels.

As for followers you can really use whomever you want. I was looking for that Hansel and Gretel tie in and used Serana for that purpose. But there certainly is no limit on the build. If you become a thane then certainly you could use any of your bodyguards. There's ways you could role-play just about any of the followers in the game and have it make sense. And with a follower, then you have the ability to stay at range with your crossbow. Don't forget about the dog follower too. He makes a really good tank.

Oh I see. I can imagine his disfigured hands casting up concentration spells, yes.
I guess limiting to basic concentration spells would make an interesting gameplay too. But perhaps you can share a basic trick or two on how to survive much longer on higher difficulties?

As for the dog, I think I'm going for regular dogs instead - Making Barbas accompanying me all around the world while all he wanted was to return to his master makes me feel a little bit guilty.

Alright that was a very quick and helpful response. Now that I see it, this build is indeed awesome and will be a perfect fit for my one-and-only Argonian gameplay. Thank you for the helpful responses!

Well Barbas is by far the best dog because he's an essential character and cannot be killed. The other dogs are just flimsy to me. I would also make sure you get a follower that wears heavy armor if you're not using Barbas. Maybe Mjoll the lioness. Basically you're wanting someone that can take the damage for you and let you stay at range. You could probably adjust the build and use the unlimited concentration casting for the endless magical ability if you're having that much issue. Naturally you would have to reduce any Magicka points to zero in order to use the UCC ability. But in my Playthru I rarely even got attacked because I had two other people taking the brunt of the attacks and neither of those characters could die so very rarely was any attacks directed at me.
