"Hey there! Blaze here! As you've probably already noticed, I'm new, and I aim to build up a familiar rep. Be it vile or grace [Preferably grace]. I'm writing this build in hopes of you, the reader, to see how exactly I, the writer, operate. Now, without any further mind-slips..."

     The Alpha

[Overwhelming to resist, the changes take place almost instantly. He becomes one with the night]

Long ago, in an ancient time known today as the Merethic Era, there resonated men and women who would seek items of great power. A man known only as 'The Hunter' tracked down an angry pact of witches... hagravens. He offered them a deal. The Hunter was to be given a concoction of supreme rule over another's eternal self and the mischievous witches were to be allowed their lives spared. The hagravens indeed brewed a such potion. It brought great rule and power over others, however, but it also brought great burden and hindrance. Unbeknownst of this, The Hunter returned home with his new "toy".

The bottle, once drunken, was to enhance ones physical form... immeasurably. Thus the hindrance would take play in the transformation. 'For it is written, "Thee accursed victims of Hircine, every once a full moon, shall know true fear in the hearts of men." The bloodlust would be near impossible to resist and the true horror would strike once per month... every full moon.

And so, he drinks. He drinks the blood of the prey. The bones of the wicked were snapped in two for the glory of Hircine. The mind of the knowing was thrilled with violence and chaos. The blood of the true was tainted and torn for all the living things that tread. And the hand of the Overseer was truly silenced that day for the laments and eradication of Hircine.

The Hunter shared his new-found "gift" in hopes of creating a new organization of blood-thirsty animals. The first of their kind. The ones who came before. The Originals. And so it was, that day, that history declared it so: The werewolves were risen, and with them... a hunt for the ages to come.

    *****

Race: Any race is fine really. It doesn't matter. As long as Lycanthrope is in your system, you're good to go. I had two go's at this build and I chose two different races for two different reasons...

    • Nord -  I chose this one in particular because it went good with the lore section of this build, considering Skyrim was mainly settled by Nords and Lycanthrope was stricken on Nords in the first place.
    • Orc - I, for one, find these bad mama's appearance quite unnerving for my taste, but their racial ability has a 25% damage boost which really helps. A lot. Considering werewolves have a heightened enhance in strength, it goes quite well with the role play.

    Stat Distribution: 0 Magicka | 3 Health | 2 Stamina

As a blood-raging werewolf, you'll have plenty of stamina while in rampage mode, of course, but what about while you're not tearing ones throat open? Well, we'll get to that, in due time. As for the health, get as much HP as possible while still leaving some for your exhaustion. You're going to want to tank as much hits as possible if you want to live. Now, as for your magicka, you can throw that aside. You're a big, wet, hairy dog. Not freaking Mannimarco [Pardon me, the actual user Mannimarco].

    Perk Spread: Here.

Stone: The Lord Stone is probably your best choice here. It provides a nice armor technique to the play through though. On my second run I chose the Lady Stone, just because it upgrades every skill a little bit faster than the next.

    Major Skills: One/Two-Handed, Heavy/Light-Armor.

This build is supposed to be played to your liking as well as any other free-style build. Meaning, you can choose which ones suit your fancy. I personally did two-handed both play-through's just because, if you put enough effort into it, you can really cause some havoc with wood and steel.

Also, try to do without the use of shouts. I know they can come quite in handy, but it doesn't go well with the role-play nor does it go with the lore part, but if you don't care about any of that and think werewolves deserve to be Dragonborn with a kuzillion shouts at their disposal, then by all means, go ahead. I can't stop you.

    Minor Skills: Archery, Sneak.

I planned this build to be a sole hunter kind of concept, only... I became a werewolf and it changed everything. So I kept the hunter type and still was a werewolf which actually kind of improved my gameplay immensely. Sneak is optional here and isn't required as a brute canine, so to speak. 'Nuff said there.

Quests: Civil War (Optional), Ill Met By Moonlight, Companion's Quest line, Totems of Hircine.

    • Savor's Hide [If you're a female]. I'm not attempting to be sexist or anything but the Savor's Hide just wasn't meant for guys. I mean, just look at it. The crotch area is half showing and the arm part is dialed down to almost nothing. Sorry dudes.
    • Orcish Armor. That's a substitute for the Savor's Hide. Saved by the idea, huh.
    • Leather/Orcish Boots. I do have to say, Orcish armor and Savor's Hide doesn't mix too well, does it? That's why if you're a female, Leather Boots are probably the next best thing. You could also use Imperial Boots or something else of that ilk.
    • Either Fur/Leather/Orcish Gloves/Gauntlets. I know it's a lot to take in but bear with me here. We're almost done. Fur and Leather Gloves/Gauntlets go great with the female get-up and looks good too. Orcish Gauntlets as well. Now this is a Heavy-Armor get-together and I really don't want to single out those who could care less for Heavy-Armor and favor that of a more different approach - Light Armor. I'll try my best here...
    • Linwe's full set of armor. I know it takes a while to get but it's worth it. His armor gives a nice bonus of 15 points of stamina which could really be useful in some cases. Besides, that extra little boost of stamina could just so happen to save your life from a werebear. You never know.

Now as for the head piece, I didn't use anything on it but if you'd like, you can go right ahead and complete the Orc look if it suits your fancy.

    • Rueful Axe. Legend has it that this axe was the very blade that would drip with werewolf blood if placed in the wrong lap. What better reason than a werewolf to wield a werewolf slaying weapon?
    • Grimsever. This one's a nice side-kick to have under your belt if the need arises. With its 15 point health and stamina drainage enchant, I'd give it a 6 out of 10.

There's more than these, obviously, these are just the ones I mainly used and don't feel the necessity of naming every weapon known to man. Or woman...

          Roleplay

A big part of this build is control. Well... losing control, that is. To do this, you must force yourself to kill - no matter what the consequences. Every full moon, or once a month, you turn. Now, this build requires serious commitment. You can only turn on that one full moon of the month. Nothing more, nothing less. That's the hindrance.
You play a hunter stricken with Hircine's curse. That's the way you need to think of it. A curse. A hindrance. A burden. So pay close attention to each day of the month.

Now, when you do actually turn, you need to escape society and run. Away from civilization... as far as possible. To where you can't hurt anyone. That's what real Lycanthrope is. But once you've actually turned, you'll need a different mind-set. Kill. Kill without remorse... without mercy. You are a werewolf, right? Once you've turned, a part of you that you've buried and piled with all the other crap of your life comes out with the turning. So the beast side of you channels all of that pain, anger, sadness, rage, and even fury into one big ball of hate. Once you turn, the part of you that cares, that has love and compassion for people, blacks out and the beast takes hold. So try your best to get out of whatever you put yourself in and look for the closest human to slaughter. That is the burden. Once it wears off, it's over.

    Gameplay

You fight like any normal being, only you aren't. Just keep one thing true: Keep your curse a secret. No-one can know of your sinister burden. Be it in dialogue or full on combat. However, you fight with more aggressiveness and more rage against your opponents. It's the beast inside you picking at the wall between it and the real world. Don't let it out. Never give into the urge and temptation of the bloodlust. Get out if this happens and don't look back.

As for the werewolf part of this section, charge in with full zeal. As a vicious canine you can't be knocked back, so have at them. Always feed. Always. To enhance the bloodlust, always feed. Be it human or not.

    Thank you!

"Thank you so much for reading this! This was, in fact, my first build and I gave it my all. Weather or not this build gets taken down or not I really enjoyed writing this and I wish to further my CB relationship with this site. So, again, thank you so much! Since it's the first, I don't mind criticism and complements."

For a first build I say you've done an overall good job. Here are some suggestions for improving:

First, you have to ditch the comic sans font. Its hard to take a build in comic sans seriously. Second, elaborate more in the gameplay section. Most of what you have in that section are closer to role play suggestions. Gameplay should tell the reader what is the build strong against or weak against. It should also tell readers what tactics to use against various enemy types, and if necessary, what enemy types to avoid.

Lycanthropy plays a huge role in this build. Go into detail about which wereworlf perks you chose and why. As for the perks, I suggest making a request the art group for a perkspread. It will make your build more visually appealing and saves readers the trouble of loading a new page to see your perks.

Overall good job and keep at it.

Thanks CND! I'm glad to see some possitive input. And I'll keep that in mind for my next one. I'm planning on making another pretty soon about a jester and his crazy ideas. As for the Art Group, how exacly does that work? I just politely ask for a  piece and hope I get it?

But other than that I really do apreciate your help. Thanks for reading!

it's nice to see another budding Werewolf. Keep at it and don't be afraid to come back to rework it.

    Absolutely!

Rather than dusting off you hands and moving on, I recommend taking the time to polish this build with the guidance given. Correcting deficiencies within this build will give you a lot of experience that can then be applied tot he next build.

Here's a link to the Art Group Service Request Thread:

    http://theskyrimblog.ning.com/group/skyrim-art/forum/topics/art-group-services-request-thread?page=100&commentId=6452022%3AComment%3A1772782&x=1#6452022Comment1772782

You'll want to post a link to your perks and a good quality picture you'd like to use.

This is a good first build!

I would,  however, like to know a bit more about how you approached combat with specific enemies in Skyrim. Do you open up with archery, hide behind a rock, then wolf out on your would be assailants? How do you approach mobs? Bosses? Them there pesky dragons and etc? That information will help readers better understand how you played this build.

    Again, nice first build :D

It is against the group rules to like your own work.
