This is really fantastic. Love that Nightcrawler vibe you get with Mfd + Whirlwind sprint. Now I'm gonna try killing that guard with that sweetroll he's always talking about.

Thanks for the kind words, Kael'than. I'd love to take full credit on this, but the ideas that Made Telekinesis viable are all Alastor's... the guy's brilliant :D
My glitch-fu is weak, so I hadn't even heard of that Alteration tip before! For this particular build I don't know if it would be all that necessary... between Telekinetic combat and Detect Life/Dead spells my Alteration shot through the roof pretty naturally. I'm DEFINITELY doing that the next time I roll with an Alteration mage that doesn't fight with Telekinesis... sooooo much better than casting Telekinesis over and over again xD

I'm glad someone picked up on that. My wife, on the other hand, didn't quite think it was all that funny... she didn't really listen to The Prodigy that much xD

Why, even the wolves you dispatch in the wilderness here will occasionally carry a garnet or something. Seriously… what’s up with that?

STOP, you're killing me!
Man, this was a very entertaining read. And that's as much because of your writing style as because of the character. Very impressive, Shin! Next time you give me credit in a build, you should give me a sneak preview as well -- it's only fair.
I love the synergy between your tactics and focal exploits. Rather than using things that are inherently game-breaking for the sake of breaking the game, you've used them to open new paths and support each other. Very clever, and it looks like you've done a wonderful job of making it work. 100% Fortify Shouts is honestly best when used with just one or two Shouts to mitigate the cooldown, rather than the full array -- not that that can't be a real blast as well.
I love the roleplay of collecting gems, but occasionally using the less valuable ones as your projectiles. Seems almost like a calling card, and it guarantees you always have a means of dispatching enemies.
This may sound borderline sacrilegious to some, but would you condone playing this on a difficulty *below* Adept? Given that (a) you're hopefully avoiding taking any damage in most cases, (b) you're playing with no extra points in Health other than equipment, and (c) the main form of damage is notoriously weak, even with Marked for Death ... I feel it would be a good way to expedite gameplay without actually compromising the gameplay style.
How long would you say an average fight lasted when you weren't bringing summons and/or bound weapons in to the equation? Would you normally wait a little while for MfD to drain opponents' AR, or just keep pelting them and relocating?
Very cool play style, awesome skillset, wonderful presentation, charming writeup ... Just an all around excellent build and a pleasure to read. Well done, Shin!

Holy mother of crap, this is awesome. It turned out even better than I thought it could and I'm dying to get into game and try that combat mechanic out--telekinesis is my favourite game ability by far and this build might just get me to fully endorse it as viable. Also, you get brownie points from me for investing in Speech.
