    *Utilisez Dawnguard and Dragonborn content*

    Fitting Reading Music

“Nagaia Ceye-Emero, no name strikes fear in the hearts of Mer than this. Roughly translating to Deathly Shadow-Guide in Ayleidoon, Nagaia is said to be a pale Mer underneath its dark clothes, wielding dark crossbows radiating darker magics, according to our ancestors. Legends tell of how the cursed have seen him transform into a winged horror. He is said to guide the souls of the righteous to paradise, and trap the souls of the wicked in his shadowy ensemble. The first, and last thing you hear of him, is the sound of rattling chains....” -Saren Vailes, Folklore of the Ayleids and Aldmer.

Now, from reading my entry, you might think “100% Shout Cooldown? OP!”, now, let me assuage your fears, the only two “OP” Shouts that are used are Marked for Death, and Soul Tear. The Stacking Glitch, while it will be used for the Amulet of Talos glitch, it will also be used to stack a few more armor pieces. I also wanted a build that uses Necromancy, without it being some cackling necromancer who lives in some dank cave-dungeon hybrid with people in cages.

Race: Altmer Vampire Lord. Let’s see, Highborn, a handy Power that allows for increased Magicka Regen, check, a starting +50 bonus to Magicka, check, and bonuses in Illusion, Enchanting, Conjuration, and Destruction, checkity-check! Make him as pale as possible, use the white-ish skull war paint for added effect.

Stat Spread: 3/2/2 in Magicka, Health, and Stamina. Stop perking Health around 250-270. It will leave you with enough health to last, and enough to remain squishy and vulnerable unless you are careful.

Standing Stone: The Mage to start with, then, later on, trek to Whiterun Hold and pick up The Ritual.

Main Shouts: Soul Tear, Cyclone, Marked for Death, Drain Vitality, Become Ethereal, Whirlwind Sprint, Call of Valor, Summon Durnhviir, Disarm, Ice Form, Aura Whisper, Fire Breath, Slow Time

Powers: Highborn, Mora’s Grasp, Nightingale Strife, Secret of Arcana, Summon Spectral Assassin, Ritual Stone, Conjure Werebear, Black Market, Ethereal Spirit, Dragonborn Fire

Spells: Ice Storm,  Chain Lightning, Fireball, Muffle, Invisibility, Soul Trap, Bound Bow, Fear/Frenzy Spells, Raise Dead, etc.

    Main Skills: Illusion, Enchanting, Conjuration

    Minor Skills: Destruction, Restoration

Recommended Quests-Main Quest, Volkihar, Dragonborn, Thieves Guild, Dark Brotherhood, Laid to Rest, College of Winterhold (Up to Good Intentions), Ancestral Worship, Man Who Cried Wolf/Wolf Queen Awakened

Now, this is quite a simple mod. It does not, as people might think when hearing the word “crossbow” in a mod’s name, require Dawnguard, for you see, these crossbows, which are both craftable, with some variants being able to be found in the world, act as staves, meaning they have unlimited ammo, more or less. Unlike normal witchhunters, who have to worry about losing ammo, Nagaaia can stay on the move. With two in each hand, it's possible to kite around your foes, and deal some decent damage to dragons who are in the air. And,they can be disenchanted

From the get go, after escaping Helgen (Sliding on any light armor you come across), head to the nearby Shrine of Talos Massacre, and pick up the Septims, and Thalmor Robes, boots, and gloves. With that done, go through the regular old Bleak Falls Barrow dealio, picking up any Amulets of Talos you run across. Next stop, after persuading or bribing your way into Whiterun, deal with the skeletons in the Catacombs, then, take the carriage (or run to, whichever you feel like doing), to Windhelm. After the altercation at the gates, head into the Arentino residence, and speak to Aventus. If you have not aquired a One-Handed Crossbow yet, the Bound Bow, even without perks, will work.

Once you’ve accepted Innocence Lost, carriage/jog to Riften, and kill Grelod. Once thats done, start on the Thieves Guild. After completing Scoundrel’s Folly, instead of going to Snow Veil Sanctum, head on and sleep in an inn or the like, start the Dark Brotherhood. After doing a few jobs, and getting The Silence has Been Broken, you should be over level 10 by now. Go and do the Dawnguard questline, and join the Volkihar. If you haven’t found one, craft a One-Handed Crossbow or two. Once you’ve done the quest to refill the Bloodstone Chalice, proceed with the Main Quest. Before making the choice to head to Skuldafn, finish up the Volkihar questlines, alongside the Amulets and Rings of Blood Magic. Thats the basics for questing.

When you walk into a room, summon an Atronach, or raise a body. If there isn’t one, make one.

Once that’s out of the way, find a quiet place, such as your home, and a follower who won’t go berzerk. Using the Werewolf Chat Glitch, you will stack on five Amulets of Talos, allowing 100% Shout Cooldown, but this won’t be the only thing we will stack. Combining our main armor (black vampire armor), with Miraak’s Robes (15% Magicka Absorption from Dragon Breath and Spells) and Vampire Royal Armor (175% Magicka Regen). Alongside these, we will also stack Ahzidal’s Ring of Necromancy (Any raised undead, if injured, will explode in an icy blast), with the Ring of the Erudite (100+ Magicka, and a 3% increase to natural, IE, not enchantment based, Magicka Regen.). With boots, we’ll be stacking the Nightingale Boots (Muffle), with Ahzidal’s Boots of Waterwalking. Waterwalking, which will allow us to beat down any opponents knocked into the water (Who take a few seconds to get up), and as well as make a quick escape, plus, it fits the ghostlike nature of this character. Physics does not impede a spirit, probably.

Gathering Auriel’s Bow, and a few Bloodcursed Arrows will allow you to block out the sun for awhile, and get rid of those pesky drops in regeneration.

Now, Extended Slow Time, even without Stability and Quick Reflexes, a found Philter of Fortify Alteration, after augmenting with a found Fortify Restoration potion, can increase Slow Time to a fairly decent time, and with Shout Cooldown, you can chain useful Shouts together.

    Now, onto....

Warriors//Chargers-These heavy armored brutes can prove deadly up close. Fire off as many bolts as possible, preferably poison tipped in order to soften them up. When they get close, fire off some Frost spells to slow them, and in your other, cast fire spells to apply Damage Over Time. Keep moving, you are a squishy character, and one good hit can be the end of you. If they are in a group, activate Become Ethereal, Cyclone them to get some breathing room if they managed to get close to you, and drain their AR and Health. Finish them off with a bolt or two.

Archers-Whether alone or in a group, these long range foes proved quite the challenge. If you can see them, keep moving and fire bolts at them. If you can’t, use Become Ethereal or Whirlwind Sprint to reach them, or, if you want a chance for them to come down to you, and get damaged, Cyclone them out of their hiding spots.

Magic Users-Dragons and Mages, fearsome foes indeed. With mages, primarily if they use fire spells, its best to close the gap quickly, like with archers, using Become Ethereal, or have a magic duel and dodge and fire of spells. With dragons, fire off a mix of bolts and spells at them, and then Dragonrend them. Keep away from their mouths so as not to get bitten and get one-shotted via dragon fangs.

    REAPER by Miz-Ray

Conjuration-Legend states the Shadow-Guide has the ability to send the spirits of the wicked into the bodies of their fellows to fight on his behalf, and has the ability to bring stones to life and infuse them with nature spirits.

*Do NOT perk Dark Souls, it with glitch out Ahzidal’s Ring of Necromancy.*

Enchanting-The writings of those who have survived Nagaia state how he has sewn the spirits of the accursed into his dark attire, empowering his abilities.

Illusion-Many tales tell of how the Nagaia seemingly appears from thin air before his enemies, and those that see him either run in terror, or go mad, and begin to slay their comrades.

Restoration-As he brings its passing, he also brings life. Anyone who is virtuous, and injured, and comes across the Nagaia will have their wounds healed. Many undead who have seen him claim to see bursts of burning light come from his hands.

Destruction-Fire, frost, shock, wind, whatever the element, the Nagaia uses them all to annihilate any malevolent beings who seek to harm the natural balance.

Early Equipment: Shrouded Boots, Shrouded Gauntlets, Unhooded Thalmor Robes, Execution Hood.

    Roleplay

    •  Do any quests the involve putting back the souls of the dead to peace.

    • Never take off your “face” (Faceless Terror), in public, only when you are in your “home” of the Soul Cairn.

    • Mortal food has no affect on you, so either sell it, drop it, or don’t pick it up at all.

    • Only stay in towns for a short time, do what you have to do, and then leave.

    Special Moves

Soulburst-Conjuring forth the souls of the fallen into vessels, they charge forward, before exploding in a shower of icey chaos.

(Ahzidal’s Ring of Arcana+Ritual Stone+Unrelenting Force raised dead towards foes)

Myriad Souls-Blotting out the sun, the Shadow-Guide calls forth an undead wyrm, before tearing the souls from the closest enemy, and weakening the rest.

(Bloodcursed Arrow to sun+Summon Durnhivirr+Soul Tear+Marked for Death)

Mudoon-Casting the physical form of an enemy into Aetherius for a short time, Nagaia calls forth a shade from the Aurbis to aid him, as a blast of chill slams into his foes.

    (Mora’s Grasp+Summon Spectral Assassin/Call to Valor+Dual Cast Ice Storm)

Hamaon-Using his supernatural abilities, Cey-Emero causes time to slow to a crawl. Wandering into the midst of his foes, he summon forth the soul of a Werebear that was trapped in his robe, then launches a volley of arcane energy at them.

    (Philter of The Healer+Philter of Alteration+Slow Time+Become Ethereal+Summon Werebear+Chain Lighting)

    Acknowledgements

If you couldn’t guess by the original image, which was on the Workshop, the Perk Spread image, and some of the move names, I took some slightly inspiration from The Reaper, the infamous, hard as all Hell boss from Persona 3 and 4.

Thanks to Golden Fool for the awesome perk and equipment spread, and thanks to Melon Lord Noodles for the screenshot.

    • All event builds that use mods must have a section at the beginning of the presentation describing what the mod does and how it mixes with the character's gameplay.

    Better fix this up, Chris.

Awesome!  I have one question though. Did I read it wrong when you told me to make a screenshot of a character equipped with the Executioner's Hood? I was looking forward to how you managed to equip it without console commands.

I got the cowl and the hood mixed up, but it's alright

One-handed crossbows... that's sweet! You must feel like a total boss blasting the baddies away with both hands xD

I'm really liking your use of Conjuration and Restoration to get the 'life and death' contrast across with this character, and the thought that he is trapping the souls of the wicked in order to use them to inhabit the bodies their dead comrades is creepy-cool!

    I'm liking this one a lot ;D

Thanks Shin, always glad to see someone liking my builds. And yes, I did feel boss, its like running fantasy/medieval akimbo, and yeah, I wanted a sort of life and death contrast, fitting the mysterious, foreboding nature of the character. If you play it, without mods or DLC (Get them ), then a Bound Bow works fine, albeit less badass factor
